The Hi-Loft Down Sweater Bunting takes the cranky out of cold-weather crawling, protecting budding alpine explorers with a lightweight, windproof shell fabric that has high tear-strength and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The 100% Traceable Down (600-fill-power duck down that can be traced back to birds that were never force-fed, never live-plucked) is compressible and warm; quilt-through construction keeps down in place. Fleece-lined, 3-panel hood retains heat. Two full-length zippers with internal wind flaps allow for easy on/off. Spandex binding at hood, sleeve and foot opening for a secure fit; fold-over mitt and foot seals out cold. Generous length easily accommodates baby in a carrier or car seat. Hand-me-down ID label.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Traceable Down Insulation

Patagonia Traceable Down provides the highest assurance of animal welfare in the apparel industry. Every down cluster, in every one of our down products, comes exclusively from birds that were never force-fed and never live-plucked. How do we know? We hired an independent third-party expert to trace and verify our down supply chain from farm to jacket–and every step in between. Learn more

Baby Hi-Loft Down Sweater Bunting is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic, best piece of baby gear we own! We camp often and I bought this for my daughter when she was 9 months. The sizes run big, but we still bought the largest size 18-24 month. We used it as her cold weather/evening outfit AND sleeping bag, as the sleeves and legs roll over to seal, and it worked perfectly. We were able to take our toddler camping and backpacking with minimal gear. It has worked in alpine as well as more temperate climates. I highly recommend this as one of my top 5 baby gear items necessary. Especially for the outdoorsy family, or if you live in a cold climate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Funny sizing I was torn on how many stars to give because the quality of this product is great but the fit is terrible. My son is 8 months old and generally wears 9 or 12 month clothing from most brands. We got size 6-12 months and it is beyond huge. It actually fits my friends 3 year old that wears 3T clothing. BUT the worst part is the size smaller is too small. I'm keeping it and hopefully he will fit into it next year but it is a little disappointing since there aren't many othe companies that make a product that would keep my son as warm as this. I want it to be clear, I'd never complain about the quality of a Patagonia product. It's the sizing that's annoying. I tried adding pictures but I'm not sure if that worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring the Canadian cold Another great piece! Baby Stella loves her new suit. Great for cold canadian winter. She can move freely and as they say, it really fits well in the car seat too! Bravo!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Baby, Happy Baby This bunting worked for us all winter long... and it was a long cold winter! We could not have been happier. We found it to be true to size. Our baby began the winter with his feet inside the legs, crawling around in the snow. He turned 1 in December, and, by spring, he was walking in boots and his feet were outside the legs. We used the puff mittens inside and used the fold-over cuffs on the hands as well. I definitely plan to invest in a 24 month down bunting for the coming winter. Thank you Patagonia!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it, but.... Just got this yesterday! So cozy and warm, the hood especially is so toasty. My tot did not want to come back in from our sledding escapades this morning. However, we already tore it! Will be contacting customer service to see what we can do. Still recommend it however! Just avoid snagging it!!!! Oh and I'm pretty positive that this would click in just fine in a car seat without loosening the straps. Will be great when we hit the negatives again. 5 stars if the fabric was more durable!
