A highly weather-resistant gear hauler with burly wheels and a telescoping handle.

Learn More Close
We decided the wheel was a pretty good invention after all, so we added two of them to our rugged Black Hole™ bags and created this superburly, smooth-rolling duffel. Highly weather-resistant, it will protect your gear from rough handling and hold everything you need for an extended trip. Its main compartment is accessed by a zippered U-shaped lid, which has a pair of zippered mesh pockets on the underside to hold small items. A zippered exterior pocket provides a secure, easy-access place for your boarding pass, energy bar or paperback. The sturdy frame sheet protects the duffel from baggage-handler abuse and keeps your Black Hole™ upright, even when it’s loaded to the max. Oversized wheels deliver a smooth ride, whether you’re crossing the tarmac or following a cobblestone street. Carrying options include the main webbing handles (with snap closure), a telescoping handle or the two haul loops on either end. You can lash additional gear to the outside with the four corner-mounted daisy chains. Made from 15-oz 900-denier polyester ripstop (50% solution-dyed) with a TPU-film laminate and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Black Hole™ Wheeled Duffel 120L is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST travel bag. I have 2 of these, had the 1st about 2 years, bought my wife the 120L, mine is a 100L, but she needs the bigger bag! This bag is TOUGH, rolls great, handle is comfy, slides great, love the 2 handles, one on either end for when you have to lift it up. The cinch straps are a plus and I love the bright colors, makes it really easy to find on the turnstile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautifully designed I travel frequently, internationally as well as domestic, cities and remotely rural. This is a very well designed roller bag. It was lighter than I expected and is apparently very durable. Extremely pleased. Definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Travel in Style! I purchased this bag for my wife, as she was lacking a solid piece of luggage for longer trips. She is not very easily impressed nor is she brand conscious, but wow - she has taken quite a shine to this bag! When she first unwrapped it (it was a gift), I think I was more excited than she was. However, once she started packing, she told me multiple times how impressed she was with the amount of space available in this bag... it is somewhat deceptive in that regard. She also appreciates that no amount of bad weather or rough handling will jeopardize the contents of what she packs. To date, her bag has been through a dozen flights over a six-month period, and has no obvious wear points or scratches. The wheels and handle system still function perfectly. I am thinking that we will be using this bag for many, many years to come!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So Roomy! This bag is very roomy! I love the straps on the inside that buckle together to keep the contents from sliding around. I do wish that there were more pockets on the inside to organize smaller items and that the zippers for the main compartment cornered a little better (they tend to get sort of stuck.) I also wish that I would have selected a different color. I got it in light grey and after 2 trips, it's already really dirty and beat-up looking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only bag you will need for 2 weeks I now have two of these 120L bags. I have an original that I've had for several years now and purchased the latest version for my wife. I have had no issues with durability or functionality. I've packed this thing full for weekend getaways and two week trips. It has holds everything and I've not ever gone over the airline's bag weight limit. It takes the abuse of the baggage handlers in ski country, the red dirt of Kauai, and cleans up and out nicely after a big trip. It has an external side pocket where I stuff a waterproof shell or umbrella. Two internal mesh pockets on the inside of the opening are great to hold little stuff for quick access upon arrival like a toothbrush, the pocket knife you saved from TSA, or a headlamp. It maneuvers great on the wheels, can be dragged upstairs if necessary using all of the smartly placed handles. The one thing it does not do is have an internal pocket that can hold wet gear for the return leg of a trip - like when you have a late flight, early checkout, and spend the day waiting at the beach instead of the airport (grab a garbage bag for your wet stuff and it's fine!). Go get yourself one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a bag!! My old suitcase was starting to fall apart. I got this as a present, and it is AWESOME. The large amount of room is unparalleled, and the rest of the features are perfect for a weekend ski getaway.
