Desert bouldering and chasing winter swell share a common trait—waiting for the action. When he’s resting between chilly scrambles or lying low before a frigid paddle out, this hoody provides the warmth of a full-zip sweatshirt with the technical benefits of double-faced polyester fleece. The recycled fabric wicks moisture, dries quickly and feels soft against skin. Fun, contrast color-blocked yoke. Classic Snap-T® styling includes left-chest pocket with snapped nylon flap and spandex binding at 3-panel hood, full-length zipper, cuffs and hem. Two handwarmer pockets hold pinecones or shells. Hand-me-down ID label. Hip length.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Boys' Lw Synch Snap-T Hoody is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great jacket, sizing too small Great jacket, great color. I ordered a XL which is normally a size 18/20; this jacket is a size 16; which is NOT an XL by normal kid sizing. Wish this same jacket was available as an adult size, probably would sell pretty well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid fleece jacket and the kid loves it He pretty much won't take it off. Great extra layer for skiing or on it's own when it's warmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All good except... no zipper pockets. My 8-year-old got mad after not being able to find his lip balm at school. Of course, the pocket gives the lip balm all the freedom to run away!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! It disappeared on the first day My son was excited about this new light weight jacket, he never took it off until he went to the yard during school recess. After recess, he looked for it and could not find it! We are bummed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect every day jacket/sweatshirt. Our boys, aged 7 & 9, have had a lot of great Patagonia gear over the years, but these are the very best every day jackets. They are warm, easy to get on and off, easy to wash, the hoods are perfect and the jacket is adorable. We love them and the kids love them. Could not recommend this jacket highly enough. Our boys are slender and they are both still in the size small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My son says it's the best jacket ever My 8 year old son loves everything about this jacket -- from the colors (we got the Light Bog), to the inside pocket on the right side, to how soft it is and how easy it is to take on and off (as oppose to the pull over which now belongs to his younger brother). We live on the California coast near Monterey so we have a use for this all year round. For sizing: We went one size up from what was suggested on the size chart for a more coat-like fit. My son has a small frame and is no taller than 50". The medium fits him well (slightly baggy but not ridiculous) allowing some room to grow and room for layering on long sleeves underneath in the winter. The sleeves pull down to cover 3/4 of his hands and the bottom ends midway down his bottom. It's a good look and he prefers the extra space.
