Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Lightweight Everyday Anklet Socks is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad size guidelines I used the size guide and purchased a medium for my size 8.5 women feet. The socks were way too big so I returned them. I did not purchase the size small when I returned the medium because I would have had to pay for return shipping plus the shipping for the new pair. Patagonia needs to update the sizing guidance!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sock but runs big I wear a size 8 and I got two pair of these socks in Medium. I need a Small and will order Small next time. The heel is way too big and often slides down into my shoe and below the back of the shoe while doing any activity. If I pull them up too much then I have a big bulge of sock over top of my shoe. They feel great otherwise. Wish I had realized how big the socks were before washing them so I could return them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right. These socks are great. Not too thick and not too thin, just comfortable and styley. The fit is perfect in a S for my women's size 7.5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Close but no cigar Patagonia is on the right track with these socks but if they keep improving them, i will buy them by the box load. These fit too tight, they need more cotton for cushioning (and nobody cares if their anklet socks have organic cotton) and perhaps use acrylic for comfort. The socks are too thin although the silhouette is almost there. Maybe a tad too low around the ankle., but better than being too high. There are a million companies trying to make this low cut anklet summer sock, get out there and research them and make one better, otherwise it's just another sock.
