Like a perfect pitch of climbing with just enough protection, our Adze Hybrid Jacket lets you move without hesitation. The front, back and top of the arms are protected against cold and wind with a Polartec® Windbloc® polyester/spandex stretch-woven fabric that’s lightly insulated with a comfortable, warm and wicking fleece grid backer. Meanwhile, low-bulk, unlined, stretchy double-weave soft-shell panels run up the sides, under the arms and down into the sleek, modified Variable Conditions Cuff, offering enhanced breathability and mobility. Zippers secure the two handwarmer pockets (placed above harness line) and the internal chest pocket. The no-bunch hem adjusts with a cord inside the handwarmer pockets. With a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.
  • 3-layer, Polartec® Windbloc® stretch-woven polyester soft-shell fabric stops wind and resists precip with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, while a fleece grid backer insulates and wicks moisture
  • Stretchy, breathable, double-weave soft-shell fabric on side panels, underarms and cuffs has a DWR finish
  • Soft-shell fabric on inner collar and wind flap is durable and abrasion-resistant
  • High, harness- and pack-compatible handwarmer pockets and one interior chest pocket have brushed tricot lining
  • Modified Variable Conditions Cuffs fit over gloves and allow sleeves to push up easily without constricting forearms
  • Flat-cinch, no-bunch hem adjusts by pulling cord in handwarmer pockets and releases with cord locks at side hem
  • Body: 3-layer, 9-oz Polartec® Windbloc® 93% polyester/7% spandex stretch woven with fleece grid backer. Side panel, inset and cuffs: 5.5-oz 88% nylon/12% spandex stretch double weave. All with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • 586 g (20.7 oz)
  • Made in Nicaragua.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Polartec® Windbloc® fabrics block 100% of the wind and provides maximum protection from the elements. The soft hand, stretch, and DWR (durable water repellent) finish combine to make this the highest quality, most comfortable windproof fleece product on the market.

Polartec Windbloc fabrics incorporate a polyurethane barrier membrane that allows moisture vapor transmission while completely blocking wind and water, eliminating the need for an additional shell. This reduces the weight and number of layers needed to protect and insulate.

Polartec Windbloc is durable, quiet, and non-pilling, and has enhanced stretch and recovery, making it ideal for activities when movement is intermittent, and when cold and inclement weather demands high-performance outer protection.

Men's Adze Hybrid Jacket is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great jacket, but... The hybrid material pills after regular wear (arm movement). Sleeves are about 1.5" longer than normal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Performance! I bought this jacket specifically for skiing in spring conditions. I recently wore it skiing in Mammoth Mountain in late May. Temps were in the high 30s F, with winds 10-30 mph. With a single thermal base layer, the jacket held up very well against the high winds on the chair lift. I'm about 6' 5" and 225 lbs. I'm in between a Patagonia L and XL, but went with a XL to accommodate various base layer options.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mens hybrid jacket Nice jacket but the zipper doesn't work right. If the zipper didn't stick it would be great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Goid I like it but miss the Velcro cuffs from previous versions. Also the zipper catchers the fabric behind sometimes. Overall good product though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The inside vest pocket too small My iPhone 6S cannot fit in the inside vest pocket. This is not good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well under waders I guide and am always on the rivers in all kinds of weather. I was looking for something light, warm, wind blocking and would shed light precipitation. I didn't want a bulky jacket as range of motion is key in casting. A tough order to fill until now. This works great for spring under the waders. I am 5'10" 165lbs and ordered a med.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Once refined, versatile shell now looks shoddy I got this on sale in 2015 for my husband -- the version then, their 2014 one, had better drape, detailing and a superb build quality. Even the pictures of this current one show puckering everywhere -- poor pattern, poor cut, poor choice of fabric and poor construction. The older version is super functional and looks elegant, but has long had a slight flaw to the fabric at the center chest that unfortunately spreads... necessitating a repair. Seeing what has become of such a wonderful product, I hesitate to send his in. This style now looks like a mediocre midlayer, not the polished shell of not so long ago. Everything about it looks inferior. What happened in 2016? The earlier version was style and substance; the current looks as though it lacks both. My husband has used this coat mostly for commutes, and it's been wonderful given the near schitzo fluctuations in weather we're subject to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dress casual jacket I bought this for my son to wear at his new job. Dress code is business casual and this adds a nice touch.
