Details include a button-front elasticized waistband with a separating buckle, an adjustable belt and zippered fly, front and back knee articulation, and a gusseted crotch that allows for full range of motion when you’re scrambling, hiking or casting for Patagonian brookies. Two slanted side-entry front handwarmer pockets and two rear welted pockets; right rear pocket has button closure. 32” inseam. Fair Trade Certified™ sewing.

Fair Trade Certified™

We pay a premium for every Fair Trade Certified item that carries our label. That extra money goes directly to the workers at the factory, and they decide how to spend it. The program also promotes worker health and safety and social and environmental compliance, and encourages dialog between workers and management. Fair Trade is one of the first tools we’re using at Patagonia to raise workers’ wages, improve their standard of living and move them closer to earning a living wage.

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Men's Cotton Gi Iii Pants is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice feel I like the feel of this pant's fabric, a little give, but not too stretchy. The medium slim fit is fine for me, 5' 11", 150 pounds, 33" waist. I would rather the belt was not sown in and may unsew it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Flexible I think these are the most comfortable and flexible cotton pants I've ever owned. I already own two pairs and am thinking of grabbing a third. Perfect for daily casual wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Favorite Pants I bought these a while ago and they are very comfortable. It's very nice that there is one belt loop, just the place to hang my keys. My one issue is it is kind of hard to keep a shirt tucked in with these pants. The clasp that replaces a belt seems to come out rather easily and i find myself tucking my shirt back in. Otherwise, these pants are great, I just can't wear them to work without having empty pockets so they don't sag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect long weekend pant I call these my long weekend pants, because when my wife and I road trip somewhere for a 3-day weekend, these are the only pants I need to take along. The fit is perfect, not too skinny, not too baggy. I'm 6'2" (normally 33"-34" inseam) and was concerned they would be too short, but am happy to report they're just the right length, and didn't shrink hardly at all in the wash. The cotton is nice, a bit lighter than I expected, but still plenty tough. The stretch is really comfy, and they don't seem to get all stretched out after a couple days wear. These work great whether you're hiking a trail, working in the field, or grabbing beers in town. I only wish for a couple things - for Patagonia to also make a pair with jean-style front pockets, for a little more casual look than these, which look a bit like chinos. Also, please make them in the Bear Brown color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pants Patagonia makes Best pants Patagonia make, however they're poorly marketed. Need to combine these with a duck pant and offer waisted sizes instead of nerdy built-in belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New favorite pants These pants are awesome. The stretch they have to them makes them very comfortable. They have a canvas like feel and seem like they will last for a long time. I usually wear a 30x32 and a small fits perfect. They also look sharp and I would wear them in just about any setting. I plan on ordering another pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, unstructured pant for kicking around. If they fit, I'd likely wear these daily - all day. The belt, the pockets, the soft fabric just about perfect in every way EXCEPT they need to be offered in lengths! OMG, I just HATED to send them back! There are, I'm sure, so many of us who are just a little shorter or a little taller (me) than Yvon... I'm going to keep checking back to see if you guys want my money...
