Offseason everywhere else means “go time” in Death Valley. That’s when the days overflow with perfect temperatures, but the nights pack a good chill. For everyday warmth on the road or close to home, nothing beats the all-out comfort of our Cotton Quilt Snap-T® Pullover. It’s made with a soft organic cotton/polyester jacquard knit fabric with lofty fill yarns of textured polyester for breathable, cozy warmth. The 1-inch diamond quilting creates an effective heat-trapping surface and reduces bulk while increasing compressibility. We’ve cut the arms generously with our Y-Joint sleeves to allow unlimited shoulder mobility. The doubled stand-up collar has a snapped placket to block breezy weather. Wide rib-knit cuffs and hem seal in warmth and retain shape. Climbing cord hanging loop and inside contrast collar tape brushed for softness.
Features
  • Warm, diamond-quilted organic cotton/polyester jersey blend

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from comfort, styling, unique to patagonia got at the outlet - been looking for one for a few years - full price is too much for a pullover sweater. will be a nice addition under a windbreaker on chilly days

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality throw over I live in the Sierra Nevadas at 5000 feet elevation. During the summer the days can be hot, but the nights cool off a little and every once and a while and tshirt just won't cut it. This is definitely nice for a light throw over to a tempature as low as 50-60 degrees

Rated 3 out of 5 by from After 1 and half years... I've had this sweater for a year and a half now and I can confirm that this is the most comfortable, softest sweater I own, hands down. I've worn it on countless nights out with friends and a handful of camping trips. After about the 1 month marker, the sweater started pilling pretty thinly at the waist hem. In fact the review by JT100 perfectly describes the material issues I've had with this sweater. I've only ever handwashed this sweater and hung dry. However, I've worn this sweater in 40-60 degree weather (Sometimes with a base layer underneath or a shell over the sweater) and it has performed admirably outside. This is not a wind resistant sweater so be sure to bring a wind/rain shell for outdoor endeavors in cooler weather, but it has been a fantastic go-to for cozying up at night around a fire or the tent. The only thing that would stop me from purchasing this sweater again is just the durability of the material or perhaps how it's sewn. It just needs to hold up longer than a few months before it starts pilling like crazy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Long Term Review: Stylish&Comfortable, Poor Fabric This is one of my favourite items of clothing ever but I can't recommend it: the fabric is just not durable. In terms of styling, this sweater is very multi-functional. It's also extremely comfortable. The fabric is super soft and breathes well. You will get complements. However, I have experienced some serious defects with the fabric. I have now had 2 of these sweaters -- my first was replaced in store with no charge after 2 months. I have had my current one for 6 months. On the first sweater, the fabric began pilling, "stringing off" and running quite badly-- it looked like the individual threads would lift off and pull away when I tried to snip off the pilled ball (to prevent further running) or if it got snagged on another layer. (Think of when you separate 2 pieces of pizza, and the cheese strings apart.) I brought it to a store and they advised that it was not reparable since the fabric had severely thinned out at one spot (above the hip one one side). They replaced the item (Dec 2016). On my current sweater, the issue has not been as severe, but the fabric is noticeably pilling, and when it pills into a ball, the fabric does the "stringing" and running. It seems like this will continue to happen until the fabric is very thin. Pilling is worse in areas that may have rubbed -- eg. the underside of arms or around the waist. It's disappointing that this sweater may not last 2 years, given the item's cost and Patagonia's claims for quality, longevity and repairability. See image for example of the "stringing" fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Cozy, comfy, best hang out pullover for the weekends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product...but I am 6'2" and fairly trim so Patgonia's slim cut shirts fit perfectly. I ended up going with a medium because it fit right in the torso but the sleeves are a little short. If I were able to buy this in a slim fit L it would be absolutely perfect.
