From a missed flight to a blown head gasket on the truck, somehow life’s hard knocks feel a little softer inside our Micro D® Pullover. An exceptional mood lifter, this lightweight pullover is made of 100% polyester microfleece (85% recycled) that feels warm and soothing against your skin. It wicks moisture, dries quickly and allows a full range of motion when you’re squeezing in a late-afternoon bouldering session in the Buttermilks. The low-profile design includes set-in sleeves for layering comfort, a stand-up collar that protects you from chilling wind, a generous quarter-zip for venting, and cleanly finished cuffs and hem. bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pullover Great multi purpose fleece for ever day wear. Not too thick, not too thin and zips up perfectly to keep your neck warm

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't get my daughter to give it back I bought this fleece in black a year or so ago and my 14 year old daughter commandeered it for a two week summer hiking trip in the Rockies. It is soft and comfortable and kept her warm as a mid-layer for sleeping and hanging out around camp on cool nights above 9,000 ft. Now she won't give it back so I'm buying another one for myself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, easy, and comfortable I like this fleece. My only issue is it fits big. Otherwise, it would get 5 stars

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny! When I first looked at this 1/4 zip, I thought it seemed expensive compared to other fleece tops on the market; but knowing it was a Patagonia, I took the plunge. Wow! This garment is soooo versatile! You can wear it inside the house to ward off a little chill or outside at a campsite or under a shell. We went to Vancouver for 3 days of kayaking and camping, and I virtually lived in my Micro-D. It was especially handy for sleeping in my sleeping bag. I've just about worn out my first one of these, I've used it so much; but it's tough and still intact. I got a 2nd one, and love it too. Be advised the 2015-2016 model is a little narrower in the arms, making it easier to wear under something but a little herder to wear something under it. My advice to you is, spend the extra $$$ and get the best; there really is nothing comparable to this incredible garment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basically have lived in this on weekends I picked up a Micro D at the outlet store in Reno this past Fall (2015) and have basically worn it every weekend since. I am on the mountain every weekend instructing so I needed something that was warm, lightweight, and breathable; this fits all of those things. On the coldest days I wear this as a mid layer, and on warmer days (30 F-40 F) I can usually get away with just the Micro D and a base layer with my lightweight instructor vest. I can usually wear this for several days in a row with minimal stink and has held up like new (30-40 days).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Comfortable Light Pullover You'll Find I wear this around the house a lot in the Winter. Being in Florida, it also works while out and about in the Winter. Farther North though, this would work as a great base layer or mid layer. I have a warm down coat that I can easily wear over this pullover, and will definitely do that next time I take a trip up North in the Winter. Basically this is a very versatile pullover. Can't recommend it enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Comfortable Pullover One of the most comfortable fleece pullovers I have ever worn. Very lightweight and keeps you warm as well. Well worth the $$

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A versatile must! The Micro D's provide a very versatile layer. From a stand alone layer for a chilly day walk to an insulation layer below a shell when mother nature throws you a surprise. Or for me when I get to the cabin and the fireplace has not removed the chill. I bought both the zippered and the pullover. While I prefer the versatility of the jacket style, under the shell the pullover certainly finds it's niche. Thanks again Patagonia you hit a spot!
