Breath-freezing approaches and sunlit summits, spindrift runnels and corniced ridgelines—for every moment of an alpine mission, the Nano-Air® delivers a breakthrough in active insulation. Put it on and leave it on through high-output, stop-and-go cold weather adventures—its stretchy and highly breathable fabric package integrates the qualities of fleece, soft shell and puffy by combining our warm-when-wet FullRange™ insulation with a plain-weave liner and a lightweight yet durable, weather-shedding shell with DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The jacket’s incredibly soft, supple feel and full mechanical stretch allow for a close, athletic fit over baselayers and an uninhibited range of motion. At brew stops or in frigid conditions, pull on a lightweight shell and the Nano-Air’s thermal properties skyrocket. The left-chest pocket and two above-harness handwarmer pockets all close with trim, low-bulk zippers. The center-front zipper has a storm flap and zipper garage, while stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth.
  • Light, yet durable 100% nylon ripstop shell and plain-weave liner offer generous mechanical stretch and exceptional breathability, with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Revolutionary 60-g FullRange™ insulation warms and stretches; combined with the shell and liner, this creates a jacket with generous mechanical stretch and unprecedented air permeability (40CFM)
  • Iconic Nano Puff® brick quilting in the side panels, articulated patterning and other quilting details improve shape and durability
  • Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two handwarmer pockets and a left-chest pocket are zippered, welted and low-bulk to wear comfortably with a harness or pack
  • Stretch binding at the cuffs and a dual-adjustable drawcord hem seal in warmth
  • Shell: 1.3-oz 20-denier 100% nylon ripstop. Lining: 2-oz 50-denier 100% nylon plain weave. Both shell and lining with mechanical stretch and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Insulation: 60-g FullRange™ 100% polyester stretch insulation
  • 354 g (12.5 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow!! i bought this product second hand and at first, had doubts that something this soft and comfortable jacket could also be so efficient with providing warmth in cold, windy, wet weather. It's a brilliant product!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So comfortable, not breathable This is one of the most comfy coats I've ever had, I love it! Ive worn it casually and for running and verticle hiking. It's a nice looking jacket so easy to pair with anything. It excels best for running in cool temp, about 15-20F. Not so much for the vertical stuff. I wore it the other day for a fairly intense hike. It was cold out, about 8F so I was a little concerned about not enough layering. Only a t shirt and this jacket. I was a sweaty mess after about 30-40 minutes and the jacket was pretty much soaked on the inside. This was surprising to me because I don't really sweat very much unless the heat is trapped. Back to the drawing board for the mountains. Still love my Nano though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I received this jacket last week and I've been wearing it in New York where the weather's fallen to around 10C lately (around 50F). It's warm enough to the point that I actually kinda feel hot in at times. The jacket itself is surprisingly light-weight to the point that I was a little dubious as to whether it'll hold up to any cold weather. So far so good. Let's see how this fares in two months time in winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and breathable! Patagonia's description is accurate. The nano-air is very warm, yet breathable. The jacket is very light weight and thin, not at all bulky, and the fit is perfect for layering under a shell. Surprisingly warm given the weight and density. I think it's as warm as the down sweater jacket which has been my go to for a few years, albeit a little less breathable, but the nano is thinner and makes a better layering piece. I am 5'7" and 165 lbs, and the medium fits perfectly. It is a Slim fit so it fits snugger than a regular jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, breathable, Lightweight Great warmth with incredible breath ability. Stand up collar fits nice around neck. Collar face getting scuffed up pretty bad from beard stubble. Need to improve. Pockets nice and deep. Breast pocket a little small. Pocket zippers are a challenge to close/open at times due to the unstructured light weight material. Zippers get jammed. Perhaps a more rigid material around pocket perimeter. Good water repellency. The stretch factor works very we'll for active movement. Overall great piece for layering or for light weight jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this thing! I've used piece as a layer and as a stand alone jacket. I love the fit. I have used it skiing, walking, biking, and fishing. This thing is so comfortable and the interior is so soft. I like the cuffs on the jacket. I love this thing for biking and skiing in cool/cold weather because even though i produce a lot of heat, when I move/wind blows I can feel a breeze come through which cools me off. So its not that windproof. Other than that i love this thing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Skiing Midlayer The Nano Air jacket is awesome. It works great as a mid-layer for skiing due to its ability to breathe, its lack of bulk, and its stretchiness. This year, I skied close to 100 days using this jacket. The fit is athletic, which makes it an easy fit under the gore-tex shells I wore skiing, certainly not too bulky, significantly less bulky than my synchilla. The nano was my go-to mid-layer on any day where the temperature was below 35. The jackets breathability meant I rarely overheated while wearing it, but it also kept me warm during lift rides when the temperature was in the negatives. Since its synthetic, it keeps you warm even when you and the jacket are sweaty. I like the nano with no hood so it is not bulky under my shell. I recommend pairing this jacket with a shell that has pit-zips, so the jacket has vents to breathe. One thing to know about the jacket is that it is not very windproof, but in my opinion the breathability more than makes up for it. I took my nano with me on a backpacking trip to Peru and it was awesome there too. Super comfy, so it was nice to sleep in while camping. Breathable and good for hiking. Not super packable, but its synthetic. The jacket is not flashy depending on the color, and looks good anywhere. In just one year of owning a nano air, it is now one of my essentials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Lightweigt was looking for something I could layer that did not bulk up and was lightweight but warm. One thing that I love is the fabric does not bind up under shell or with other layers like a fleece would, it slides
