Born of shoulder-season belay duty and quick-hit ski tours, the Nano Puff® Jacket finds a home with any alpine climber or backcountry skier. Its wind-blocking, 100% recycled polyester shell sheds moisture and glides effortlessly in your layering system. Low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—now with 55% postconsumer recycled content, and still the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available—traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The jacket has a sculpted fit, with narrow horizontal quilting on the shaped side panels, and the soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort. Its internal zippered chest pocket doubles as a self-stuffsack with a carabiner clip-in loop. It also has two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.
  • Lightweight, 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell and lining fabric has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • The most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available now with 55% postconsumer recycled content, 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco is water-repellent, highly compressible and maintains 98% of warmth, even when wet
  • Brick quilting pattern with horizontal quilt lines on side panels stabilizes insulation and uses durable thread for abrasion resistance
  • Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two zippered handwarmer pockets have cleanly finished zipper garages; zippered internal chest pocket doubles as a stuffsack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop
  • Drawcord-adjustable drop-tail hem seals in warmth

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spring, fall or winter base. Perfect weight base layer, stylish, and still being used into 2017 mid May because Northern Maine can still get frost this time of year

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Returned Great piece but it was too tight under my arms so I returned it. So sorry I had to do so. I would have exchanged for xl but the L sleeves were pretty long do I figured the xl would be too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband fave jacket I bought this jacket for my husband's birthday a few years ago and it has become his favorite. He wears it year around, put it in a dry bag when we go paddle boarding, throws it in the car "just in case", that jacket literally travels with him everywhere. It runs true to size. To help he is 6'2, 195 lbs and the large fits him perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Jacket...Ever. Bought this while living in Europe, and absolutely love this coat. I've worn it everywhere from cool FL evenings to Norway hiking. I've been able to stuff this thing down to nothing, yet it keeps you so warm when you need it most!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, as expected In total between my husband and myself, we own 5 nano puff jackets. I can't say enough positive things about this product. It is lightweight, which is perfect for traveling. It washes very well and air dries in a flash. It is surprisingly warm, given how lightweight it is. The style is also flattering for both men and women.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New fit is way too small :( First off, I own 5 Nano puffs. Second, I will note that they are all the models from last year prior to the "overhaul." I am so in love with these jackets but not anymore. I ripped my black one that I use for work and Patagonia sent me a replacement. The nano puffs now are so incredibly tight. They hike up in the arm pits and all around the chest. There is no room to breathe. Move up a size and you'll be swimming because the arms are already too long in the first place. Luckily Patagonia found an outlet that still had an old model in stock for me to purchase. Patagonia I love you but WHY!?!? Why are you trying to be "trendy" by going "skinny???" Skinny for men isn't trendy and you guys are ruining the number one appeal of these jackets: that they have full mobility. I now feel restricted with the newer models. Please Patagonia, don't ruin a good thing. I hope that Patagonia designers read this and consider my opinion as an avid fan and owner of multiple nano puffs. Thank you for not ruining the ultra light model as well by "updating" it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Layering Option This is one of my go-to jackets! It's very lightweight and packs down into a pretty small square. It's very easy to shove in my pack when I'm not sure if I will need another layer or not for the day. I can even clip it to the outside of my pack if I don't room inside. I would say though that the jacket is a little tight around the waist. It's definitely snug around my waist, more than I would like... And it honestly makes the jacket fold up on itself on my lower back. Other than that, it's a great jacket and I high recommend it! I am 5'4" and athletically built.
