We built these cords the way we like our bouldering landings–soft and forgiving. Made from midweight 14-wale 100% organic cotton corduroy and cut to sit on the waist, our Regular Fit Cords are warm, easy-wearing and sturdy enough for a hike through town or around the river’s bend. With classic 5-pocket styling and a regular rise, they have a zip fly, an antique nickel shank button closure, double-needle belt loops and antique nickel piton rivets throughout. Built to suit all body types, the full seat and thigh offer a more relaxed fit with straight-leg opening from knee to ankle. Two front pockets with printed twill pocket bags; small coin pocket on the right hip; two rear pockets. Fair Trade Certified™ for sewing, we pay a premium for these cords that workers can use to improve their communities and standard of living. Inseam is 32".

Fair Trade Certified™

We pay a premium for every Fair Trade Certified item that carries our label. That extra money goes directly to the workers at the factory, and they decide how to spend it. The program also promotes worker health and safety and social and environmental compliance, and encourages dialog between workers and management. Fair Trade is one of the first tools we’re using at Patagonia to raise workers’ wages, improve their standard of living and move them closer to earning a living wage.

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Men's Regular Fit Cords - Reg is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable These are great cords. Perfect fit for me and very comfortable. I am 6'2" and 180lbs and the 34" waist is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants! These are great pants! They are super comfortable, but they are also functional and dressy looking enough to wear them to work functions. Quick Note: These pants run long. I'm a 32" length and had to go with the 30" inseam length size - aka "short."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wear out too fast, but otherwise perfect Within six to eight months these had large and visible signs of wear above the knees. Great fit, nice lines, smart-looking, but should last longer for the price. Similar cords I bought for half as much from JCrew lasted twice as long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit well I bought these for my husband and they fit really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just plain excellent This is my third pair of these cords and they are just plain excellent. The high level of fit, finish and quality easily justify the higher price. One thing I noticed with my newest pair is that the material is not as stiff as the previous ones and that is okay. Finally, they actually can fit a guy with beefier legs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful pants These were a gift for my husband. They are so beautiful, fit great. Excellent cords.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy cords The wife is a big fan of these cords on me so I guess that's the best review I could give it (oh, and they're really comfortable!).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shows wear too quickly I bought these cords a month ago, and think they're great... but they are already beginning so show some evidence of wear in the area just above the knees. This may be endemic to cords, but I wish I could count on a year or so of (relatively light, work use) and not have to shift these from work pants to the housing painting pile
