On eelgrass and sand flats, you could fish barefoot if it weren’t for the occasional urchin, broken shell or sharp rock. Our Neoprene Flats Booties are the perfect solution: You get the light, easy freedom of going shoeless with an impenetrable sole and a little extra side protection and support. The soft, strong and stretchy 2.5mm neoprene is laminated to a 100% nylon outer skin for durability and comfort next to the skin. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Neoprene flats booties I bought these booties after looking at quite a few. I wanted something light. easy to get on and suited for sand bottoms. The booties are GREAT when on but a NIGHTMARE to get on!!! The neoprene GRABS your heal on the way on and WILL NOT let go. I have worn MANY flats boots and these are the WORST I have ever used as far as ease of use, i.e. getting the darned things on and off. You would think with the LOW zipper it would be easy but not so!! AND these are a bit loose on me so THAT is not the problem! This boot needs a liner that doesn't grab and hold on entry. A real waste of good dinero at the price they go for!! You would think Patagonia would have worked this one out before going to market????

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beware of Bad Sizing! I just received the Patagonia Neoprene Flats Booties. Will be sending them back, due to improper sizing. My shoe size is 9, and after reading others reviews saying the boots run small, I ordered up to size 10 (Medium). They are no where near size 10, more like size 8! Will have to send back and try another size larger. Come on Patagonia, either correct your bad sizing numbers...or at least warn your customers to order TWO sizes larger than their normal shoe size!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from patagonia flats bootie vs orvis christmas wading I am a true size 11 and xl fit properly I think even size 11.5 may want to jump to a size xxl, I am a 100 percent orvis customer, for me to switch from the Christmas wading shoe that I wear on my boat, flats fishing and goofing off while water sporting you MUST have something special. This Patagonia boot is much easier to get on and off as the zipper goes down slightly lower and slightly more to the rear, this has made orvis booties premature ripping just above the heal. Neither the orvis or patagonia are made for walking on oyster bars and both have great grip, priced the same , the orvis may have slightly more protection on top of shoe that makes the patagonia just a bit more comfertable to wear. If I am going to walk on sharp objects or do heavy work I am not going to wear either of these shoes but for what they are designed for the Patagonia is a more comfertable shoe and MUCH easyier to get on and off. Sorry Orvis on this one but I will be back ! No spell check and my english is only so good :) Jimmy, pawleys island, s.c.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty lightweight This boot has some pluses and minuses. On the pus side it's lightweight and very pack able. It is also higher than other flats boots which helps keep sand and small bits of coral out. On the minus side, the sole could be thicker and stiffer for mixed flats with iron shore and coral. I don't feel that safe and wouldn't recommend for tough substrates. Great for sand flats only! Also sizing is odd. Order one size up as they run small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Bare Foot Wading Yes I used to risk fly fishing the flats barefooted. Not any more! These flats booties give the protection required and allow me to put the sneak on bonefish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice boots, small sizing These boots are a nice change from the standard wading booty but the sizes are wrong. After asking about the sizes and getting a recommendation from the designer they arrived way too small. I'm a 12.5 men's and was told to order XL, had to return for XXL. My wife is a 7.5 women's and she was told XXS. The box even says women's 8.5 on it, they were more like a 6. Reordered an XS for her. Still don't understand the sizing spectrum but hopefully this will help others. Boots are otherwise 5 star Patagonia products, they just need there own sizing chart.
