Like blank spaces on a map and a wide-open itinerary, this pack overflows with possibilities. Featuring a large panel-loading design, the Paxat holds a full day’s worth of gear and keeps everything organized and accessible for moving freely through a hectic agenda. A dedicated laptop pocket unzips and lays flat via a clamshell opening, so you can glide through airport security without removing your 17" and smaller computer. This pocket also accepts a hydration reservoir when you break away from the city streets. The main compartment holds sizable items like books, lunch and pair of running shoes for your afternoon workout. The second, zip-closing pocket provides a secure place for smaller items like a tablet, pens, lip balm and keys. Lined with soft fabric, a top pocket protects sunglasses, phone or an audio device, and stretch-woven side pockets accommodate a full range of water-bottle shapes and sizes. Airflow mesh on the shoulder straps and back panel prevents overheating, and compression straps stabilize contents. Made from 450-denier 100% recycled polyester, with a 450-denier 100% recycled polyester base. The lining is 200-denier 100% polyester. All fabrics have a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.
  • Strong, lightweight body and base are made with 100% recycled polyester with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • Large panel loader with multiple pockets; easy-access main compartment; secondary compartment with internal organization; multiple pockets for small essentials
  • Separate laptop compartment holds most 17" laptops and opens like a clamshell to lay flat while going through security
  • Open, highly breathable mesh shoulder straps and back panel; adjustable sternum strap
  • Stretch-woven pockets hold a wide range of water-bottle shapes and sizes
  • Top-mounted, reinforced haul handle
  • Body: 7.5-oz 450-denier 100% recycled polyester plain weave. Base: 7.85?oz 450-denier 100% recycled polyester ripstop. Lining: 3.3-oz 200-denier 100% polyester. Stretch pockets: 9.4-oz 66% nylon/34% spandex. All treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • 921 g (2 lbs .5 oz)
  • Made in Vietnam.

Water Resistant

(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bag I've had This is the best back pack I've ever owned the size of this bag is awesome, it can fit basically everything I want in it except a car. I love the color of it (fatigue green) and the amount of pockets are sweet, plus the pouch on the very front is the cherry on top. It fits my gloves, hat, scarf and rain coat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from VERY SPACIOUS I bought this for school I am in college and my favorite feature is how much it can hold! It's great pack I can fit my daily essentials and more. The only down side is I have to constantly adjust the straps due to the weight. I pack an average of 15-20 pound sterling of thinks in my bag so that should explain why but it is a nag to adjust every time I leave a class or my room. The body straps are also really nice to avoid back pains and allow me to travel quicker through campus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this backpack This is an excellent pack. I've been using a very basic Jansport to lug my heavy 15" Dell laptop to and from work every day and decided it was finally time for an upgrade. The padding in the straps and back + the structure of the bag help evenly distribute the weight so I don't end up with tight knots in my shoulders. It also has just the right amount and positioning of pockets -- pens, files, gum, change, Nalgene, wallet, phone charger, etc. all fit in easy-to-reach places. I'm excited to use this bag for weekend trips as there's tons of room. I ordered the Grecian Blue, and it's much brighter in person than in the photo. I have only two small complaints: 1) I wish the laptop compartment was easier to get to instead of up under the straps. I've just been keeping my laptop in the main compartment since I haven't been traveling. 2) I wish there was a place to tuck in the hip strap. Since I'm using this bag for work and travel, it just dangles there. I may end up cutting it off but would like to have it as an option for hiking. Neither of these seemed worth knocking off a star, though, since I'm so happy with the bag overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The single greatest backpack I've ever owned I bought this bag back in November after a series of poor purchases (on Patagonia backpacks). The new Refugio wasn't as great as the old, the Chacabuco was just a pain. I stayed away from the Paxat purely because of the high price. But it finally became necessary for me to just shell out the cash and buy this pack, and boy was it worth it. The main compartment is huge...I've avoid bag fees on Spirit by packing four or five days' worth of clothes into the pack with no problem. I love having the laptop in a pocket behind the straps. It may take a couple days to get used to fishing around the straps, but it's second nature to me now and it really feels like it isn't taking away space from the main compartment, which is awesome. The zipper pocket on top is perfect for my ⅛ inch EarPods, train tickets, sunglasses, etc. The zipper pocket on the side fits my Lightning EarPods, keys, and whatever else. And then you've got the zipper pocket on the front, slightly smaller than the main compartment, but still big enough to hold a lot of stuff. Finally, you've got the buckled pocket in the very, very front of the bag. This one is a bit dangerous, as it fits my MacBook charger, but then I forget that it's the only non-water-resistant pocket until after I pull out a soaking charger on a rainy day. I really love backpacks, but this is the single greatest backpack I've ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paxat 32L best bag for you buck I was beyond excited to get this bag in the fatigue green color. This bag is absolutely insane! This bag is great, a huge compartment for books ( I'm in college) a sweet organization section for pens and a calculator or other school related items ( I have a small first aid kit) and the laptop sleeve built into the back of the bag that could be used for a bladder as well. I love the front pouch for my rain jacket to avoid taking space from books or other items in the larger compartments. I highly recommend this bag for any college student, and it's also the perfect size and weight for a day hike because of the chest and waste straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptionally Wonderful! I bought this bag over Black Friday for a great deal & honestly it was the greatest purchase that I made! I am an active college student, so this bag is perfect for holding the books that I need plus toting my laptop back and forth to class (AND there is still room left over!). I would recommend this bag to everyone! It's also great for extensive travel & even for day trips! My only complaint is that I wish there were two bottle holders, but even that can't stop me from rating it anything below a 5!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the bag I gave it 4 stars because my laptop doesn't fit in the rear pouch. It's a 17" dell and is just barely too big for that rear flap but is fine in the big compartment with my files. The bag is outstanding otherwise

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tons of space! I bought this bag in two colors for my Son and Daughter to use for school and travel. My son has raved about this bag after he used it for international travel saying that the space and pockets made the airports a breeze. My daughter loves the Laptop compartment and the front pocket for all of her extras. It's a very nicely constructed bag and I know both kids will get years of use out of them.
