Thin ice, tuned edges, sharp mind: When climbing and skiing in backcountry wind and cold, go prepared. Our soft-shell Adze Hybrid Hoody resists moisture, breathes freely and keeps the heat. Its main body is composed of a 3-layer Polartec® Windbloc® stretch-woven polyester soft-shell fabric that repels wind and sheds snow, while the bonded fleece grid interior wicks moisture and adds light insulation. The hoody’s low-bulk construction also uses unlined, stretchy, double-weave soft-shell fabric in the side panels, cuffs and along the underside of the arms to minimize bulk while enhancing breathability and mobility. The helmet-compatible hood adjusts for a custom fit, the zippered hand pockets sit high and clear of a harness, and the hybrid cuff design stretches over gloves and has a minimalist hook-and-loop closure to secure the seal. With an exterior and interior zippered chest pocket, and a no-bunch drawcord hem. DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Water Resistant

(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Polartec® Windbloc® fabrics block 100% of the wind and provides maximum protection from the elements. The soft hand, stretch, and DWR (durable water repellent) finish combine to make this the highest quality, most comfortable windproof fleece product on the market.

Polartec Windbloc fabrics incorporate a polyurethane barrier membrane that allows moisture vapor transmission while completely blocking wind and water, eliminating the need for an additional shell. This reduces the weight and number of layers needed to protect and insulate.

Polartec Windbloc is durable, quiet, and non-pilling, and has enhanced stretch and recovery, making it ideal for activities when movement is intermittent, and when cold and inclement weather demands high-performance outer protection.

Women's Adze Hybrid Hoody is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very versatile I loved the jacket, rated only a 4 star because the arms are a little too long, I wear it almost everyday in all type of weather, dries quickly as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite jacket! I'm always cold, but somehow this jacket managed to keep me warm and dry while allowing my body to breathe throughout snowboarding excursions in the White Mountains and all throughout Maine!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Softshell I'm generaly a big fan of patagonia outerwear but I was really disappointed in this jacket. I'm always cold so I got this hoping for a warmer more windproof softshell to add to my laying system. This jacket is warmer but it is also very bulky and gets wet from sweat-or even moderate warmth- (I'm NOT a heavy sweater) very quickly and once it's damp it stays that way. However, because of it's bulkiness it's inconvenient to put in your pack and only wear when it's cold and you know you won't get warmer (plus that kinda defeats the purpose of a softshell). For reference I've tried climbing, running, biking and skiing in it and have similar experiences in all fields.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, light weight Not heavy, but warm and a good fit. Great to layer, nice pocket features.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really wanted to like this hoody Unfortunately I had to return this item...bought a medium & I'm 5'6" & 145 pounds...which was too tight in the shoulders & underarms and too big in the body. Also found the material too stiff. I have another Patagonia medium soft shell that fits just right & I love the material. It doesn't have a hood, so that's why I wanted to like the Adze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Layer! I bought this to wear as a layer while hiking, fishing and birding. When it's cold I wear a fleece or Nano Puff underneath. I haven't tried it yet in milder weather. It provides a nice wind break and added warmth. I don't mind the thinner side and inside arm panels, but would prefer not to have them. If I'm hiking they provide a nice vent, but when I'm fishing or birding I'm less active and would prefer the warmth of solid material in this area. I like the larger hood because it fits nicely over a beanie. LOVE the stretchy material. This is a great layer. I'm 5'6", 125 lb., and a medium is a room fit, which I want so that I can wear a warm jacket underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meets my requirements. I have worn this jacket hiking and nordic skiing in temps from 10-35 degrees. Works well with various layers and is water resistant. Fits well, nice color and is comfortable. The hood has been great in the wind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great in cold weather Runs large. I've never worn a small in Patagonia wear, but in this jacket I took back my medium
