bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Odor Resistant

Polygiene® odor control permanently protects your garments from smelling like a middle school locker room. Sweat itself is odorless, but it creates the conditions that bacteria need to multiply, and some of those bacteria produce odors. Polygiene permanent odor control stops the growth of odor-causing bacteria on fabrics, so you can wear more and wash less.

Active only on the fabric surface, Polygiene permanent odor control does not interfere with perspiration or with the skin’s natural bacterial flora. Polygiene particles are more than 100 times larger than nanoparticles and therefore are too large to penetrate to the skin’s barrier. Polygiene-treated fabrics have received Medical Class 1 approval in Europe, the same class that includes bandages.

Women's Cap Tw Bottoms is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them I've had the merino bottoms for years and it was time to get a new pair. I am 5'7 and 120-125 lbs and I got the Small. They are a great fit with a little extra room. (I got the midweight in XS for a tighter fit.) Very warm and comfortable for under jeans/carhartts/snowboarding pants or just relaxing around the house :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeping Me Warm These are a great thin, lightweight thermal I can fit under almost anything and stay toasty warm. Living in the mountains temperatures can become cold, in the double negative digits. These bottom have helped me combat the coldness when I am doing anything from working outside to snowboarding. The fit is right on, snug without being restricting and not too long, I am around 5ft 7in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why do you make it hard to love you? Dear Patagonia. I love you. I really do. But why do you make it so hard? How many women in these reviews say "I have athletic thighs." We get after it. We are quadzillas. Does your model have athletic thighs? No. Do I but a pair of bottoms without being able to see the rear first? No. What gives?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super layer I've been giving these a workout and they have not disappointed. Light weight, thin enough to wear under jeans and perfect base layer for warmth. I do think I could have bought the size large .
