Since we first started making Pataloha® shirts 30 years ago, we’ve taken our inspiration from the many unique prints and patterns we’ve found while traveling the world in search of the best surfing, climbing, fishing and funhogging. Made from a soft, 2.2-oz 100% organic cotton lawn that offers lightweight comfort in warmer weather, the new Women’s Classic Pataloha Shirt features lively Pataloha prints and a female-specific fit. Two of this season’s prints are inspired by plants native to California, the mountain dogwood and polypodium fern; the third is a reissue of a traditional South Pacific tapa pattern. With coconut buttons, flat-lying camp collar, and delicate cap sleeves. Straight hem has small notches at the sides. Waist length.

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pataloha Shirt Loved the fabric! The shirt is light and comfortable, and the fit is roomy adding to the coolness when wearing it. I'm a Sm in Patagonia, and the size 4 fit right. However, I returned mine because the sleeves were oddly short and stuck out like little wings. Similar to a cap sleeve but not a cap sleeve- kind of awkward. Had it not been for the sleeve length, I'd have been stoked and kept it as I otherwise loved it. The print with the purple background and gold leaves was awesome (if you like those colors) as it's different than what you see out there in most aloha or camp shirts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from colors not for everyone but light and summery Purchased a couple of these shirts. The patterns and colors are a bit different but ok. Material is nice and very light. Fit is actually ok for Patagonia which seems to run least to me. The sleeves are a little short but length and fit otherwise is good. I am typically a size 12 but ordered a 14 thinking it would be typical Patagonia but actually had to return the size 14 to get a 12. Glad to see they are making these shirts again. Gave it a 4 because sleeves are a little short

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pataloha Envy! I bought my son the first 'Black Hole' ever produced and a Pataloha shirt to see Him off to the East West Center in Hawaii. This was before Patagonia had a web site! I always envied the Mens Pataloha designs. Yes, there were a few dresses for women but they sadly vanished. I was looking through the site a few weeks ago and what a great surprise! Pataloha shirts for women! YEA! I ordered and it came today. LOVE it! It is a size eight; beautiful pattern and material. Thanks Patagonia. Please bring back the women's shift Pataloha dress and think about a shirt for fall.
