The bone-chilling streets of Midtown Manhattan and Chicago’s Magnificent Mile are no match for the Down With It Parka. The shell is made from 100% recycled polyester treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and insulated with Traceable Down (600-fill-power duck down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked). We’ve widened the baffles this season and added princess seaming for a warm, contoured fit. The insulated hood is removable and a wind flap conceals the 2-way front zip. Welted, on-seam handwarmer pockets have zip closures. Knee length.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Women's Down With It Parka is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat! I bought this coat because I wanted something that was weather-resistant and very warm. I have lived in northern New England for many years, have had many winter coats. This one is great for the coldest days, especially this past winter when I had a new puppy who needed lots of walks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and cozy! I bought this parka for a week trip to Boston. The temperatures were in the 30's. I wore the parka with a long-sleeve cotton shirt or a very thin sweater every day. It kept me comfortable as I walked about town. Love the green!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for around town I purchased this towards the end of the season, not thinking I'd get to try it out until next winter, but a few days later I was so warm wrapped up from neck to knee in this amazing parka.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfortable! I replaced my old winter jacket with this one and it fits like a glove! So warm and keeps the wind out. I am in my late 20's, 5'7 and 155lbs. The medium fits great, even with a thick sweater or sweatshirt underneath. The pockets are also so warm and fuzzy. Great price compared to Canada Goose and other brands!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toasty warm! Considering it was the tail-end of winter, I honestly didn't think I'd be using this until next winter, but I've worn this quite a bit already! I debated between the olive green color or the black, but I had to go with the black as I plan on using this piece for years and black is just the most versatile choice. This jacket warms you up within a minute of putting it on and is so cozy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the hood gaps in between the snaps that attach it to the jacket. It's more of an aesthetic preference than anything, but it is still perfectly functional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Jacket EVER. I LOVE this jacket. My boyfriend calls it a giant sleeping bag. It is like a giant walking sleeping bag the keeps you warm when all your friends are freezing ;) The fit is perfect- I even wore a vest under it before. Easily one of my best purchases ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! This jacket is extremely warm and definitely beats the cold! I live in Northern MN, so our winters are quite cold and windy. I'm so glad I purchased this jacket! I have the industrial green color, and it looks similar to what is pictured. For reference, I am 5'9" and weigh 160 lbs and the large fits perfectly! There is enough room to move around and not feel restricted, but it doesn't look too big and bulky. Length is as pictured on the model as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from That's the one! I took it to Lake Tahoe in the middle of a snow storm and I had only one fleece underneath. And I was hot!!!!!!! It's amazingly warm warm and comfortable and nice. I LOVE IT. And I highly recommend it if you're looking for extra warmth and nice look.
