Our Nano Puff® Hoody handily manages all the frosty belays, graupel-filled grovel fests and nighttime rope-pulling epics that even the most dedicated climbers can throw at it. It excels as a sleek micro-belay parka and doubles as an insulated jacket on quick alpine dashes. A simple, elasticized hood opening adds thermostat-like warmth, and the low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—now with 55% postconsumer recycled content, and still the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available—traps heat with remarkable efficiency, even when wet. The wind-blocking, moisture-shedding 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish glides effortlessly in your layering system, and a soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage add chin comfort (when all hell’s breaking loose, the little things help). The hoody stuffs into an internal, zippered chest pocket that has a carabiner clip-in loop. It also has two zippered handwarmer pockets, elasticized cuffs and a dual-adjust drawcord hem to seal out wind and seal in warmth.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "This one fits just right" Purchased this nano puff hooded version for big hike in the sierras coming up, as I did not find the nano pullover in the color I wanted. So happy I went with the hooded nano, the hood is great and elastic edges help keep it in place, love the blue color and have had many compliments. I am petite but mature (50's)and the medium was a perfect fit. Loved the nano so much I recently ordered a warmer version(down sweater) and cant wait to get that too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best, of course, as always This is my second nano purchase in a year, one for myself and one for my sister as a gift. The best jacket that perfectly works for what it was designed for! Patagonia, always the best!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from too tight in shoulders!! I have one of the first nano-puff hoodies, which I absolutely love. It's lasted me for countless climbing, skiing, and river adventures. It has needed to be replaced for a few years now. Every year when Patagonia comes out with the new season's model I try it on and don't buy it. The newer style is too slim through the shoulders, making it difficult to move my arms- problematic for a climber. :) And if I go up a size, then it is too big through the torso-which is cold. I would love to be able to buy a new nano puff hoody to replace my old one. Please Patagonia create this jacket again with an active climber in mind!! If you are slim-build I would 100% recommend buying this jacket. But if you are muscular or broad in the shoulders at all- good luck with being active in this jacket. I'm 5'3" 130 lbs- in between size S and M. Maybe Patagonia should make this jacket it 2 fits- a "slim" fit and a "regular" fit. That way we all can enjoy it!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really Cute, but rips easily I bought this coat about a month ago and it is very cute and stylish. Altjough I love it, a hole did rip in it very easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Fall & Early Winter Puff I highly recommend this jacket for temps 33-59F. I love the fitted hood as no cold air can sneak in. The water resistance is fairly good. I stay warm in this coat down to about freezing temps and then I move to my Patagonia down jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect all-around jacket I originally had a Nano Puff without the hood, but lost it last winter. Since I lost it I tried to wear other jackets, but truly just missed the versatility of the Nano Puff. I got myself a hooded jacket at the beginning of this season, and it has once again become my go-to jacket. It cuts the wind and keeps you dry on cold, snowy days. I have a thicker puffy for hiking, but find myself in this one 99% of the time (except for summits). It's lightweight, warm, and pretty waterproof (I mean, it's not a rain jacket, but you get it). You can get away with wearing this almost every day in the winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall Good Jacket The harvest moon blue color is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I could not believe how light weight this jacket is while still being so so so warm. It is very comfortable! I am 5'7 and 120lbs and the small was too small. I like things cut bigger though so I can fit layers underneath. There was no way I could do that with the small so i exchanged for a medium. This jacket is so comfortable and warm but it snags easily. I believe it is just the material and Patagonia has an excellent repair/return service so I think the jacket is still worth the money. It is extremely versatile and can be worn in snow, rain, class, or a night out on the town.
