Sometimes shiver-proof protection comes in small packages—like our Nano Puff® Vest. It punches above its weight, trapping your heat with 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—now with 55% postconsumer recycled content, and still the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available—wrapped in a windproof and moisture-shedding 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. The vest has a shaped fit and a soft, wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage for chin comfort. Other fine points include a drawcord hem, two zippered handwarmer pockets and an internal chest pocket (with clip-in loop) that doubles as a stuffsack.
  • Lightweight, 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell and liner fabrics have a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • The most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available now with 55% postconsumer recycled content, 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco is water-repellent, highly compressible and maintains 98% of warmth, even when wet
  • Brick quilting pattern with narrow horizontal quilt lines on side panels stabilizes insulation and uses durable thread for abrasion resistance
  • Center-front zipper has wicking interior storm flap and zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two zippered handwarmer pockets have cleanly finished zipper garages; zippered internal chest pocket doubles as a stuffsack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop
  • Drawcord-adjustable drop-tail hem seals in warmth
  • Shell and lining: 1.4-oz 22-denier 100% recycled polyester with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish. Insulation: 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco 100% polyester (55% postconsumer recycled content). Fabric is certified as bluesign® approved

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect vest for layering or to wear alone. This has been a nice addition to my outerwear. The vest works well alone or is a perfect layering piece.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice vest but had bad skin reaction I loved this vest--it looked great and was very comfortable. Unfortunately, though, I developed a bad skin rash where my skin came in contact with the vest. This happened even after I washed the vest, and I had the same reaction to the Nano Puff jacket I purchased at the same time. I have super sensitive skin and expect this reaction would be pretty rare, but wanted to alert others who have sensitive skin to be aware of this possibility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit I love this vest. It doesn't make you look puffy. Love the grey/green color

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Patagonia Lab Coat...Montana Style I ski and hike in Patagonia so decided why not work? It works great as my white jacket while rounding. Pockets for essentials and fit is always perfect. Stethoscope finishes the hospital adventure look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recent convert I bought this to replace an old, puffy down vest that is turning from black to purple with love and wear (but still kickin'!). The "thin" is a bit alarming, you almost wish there was a bit more to it. But I was a quick convert and have been grabbing this every day. Maybe wish it was a bit less shiny and "swishy" sounding when wear it. Easily goes under anything. Great for layering or just on top of tshirt, etc...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection in a vest Bought this looking for a lightweight vest that would provide an extra layer of warmth without the bulk and this one nails it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sizing too large everywhere for busty women Love the vest but I normally wear a large in all clothing except Patagonia. Larger bust put me in the XLG if I wanted to wear anything but a t-shirt under this vest. It's very long in this size for someone 5' 3" and a D bust. Waist is large too. I bought anyway because it does come down to my hips making it appear it fits my torso. Okay for what the vest is meant to do and living in California perfect weight. Just bums me out when the bust is so tight on Patagonia gear. Forget the mens size too as it's too short and bunches to tight around the bottom clearly not for meant for hips.
