We stand behind everything we make, including our wetsuits. But wetsuits require care if they are going to perform and wear the way they were intended. Patagonia is not responsible for wetsuits that are abused or show normal wear and tear over time. Scratches and fading are inevitable, as are tears from the occasional close call with a fin. Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great spring suit Bought this for a surf trip to Nicaragua and loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays put while surfing I wore this piece for a 5-day surf trip in Nicaragua this June. I paired it with a long sleeved rashguard, and never had to worry about pulling this down or adjusting that. Once I put it on I was good to go! The only downside was that when transporting my board from point A to point B, which was about a 10 minute walk, I would get some inner thigh chaffing from the way the shorts were positioned, especially if there was any sand on my legs. All-in-all it is a super comfortable, awesome surfing outfit though!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great suit but a few changes would make it perfect I am just off a winter where I surfed 70 days and I wore this suit every single day. I loved ALMOST everything about this suit. It kept everything in place (if you know what I mean) so you didn't have to worry about anything but catching waves. That said, Patagonia could make some changes to make this a perfect suit. I am 49 years old, 5'5", 120 pounds and I ordered the size 6. I have muscular quads but they are not huge by any stretch. Even so, the leg holes were tight. They did loosen up in the water enough so that they weren't too uncomfortable but they could still have been looser, for sure. Only very skinny legs would fit without being too tight and, let's face it, athletes do not have skinny legs. Also, I have a bust (34C) and while the cut looked beautiful in the mirror, it didn't hold me in place in the water until I stitched up the front a little bit. My only other suggestion is to add a zippered pocket for keys/cash. Why is it that nobody thinks women need to carry keys or money? Those modifications would make this suit perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why only make clothing for petite, short people? I haven't worn a size 10 since I was 12. I would really dig this suit--- but I'm 5'11, strong, and thus, larger than your average woman. Size 14-16. Disappointing that Patagonia thinks "outdoorsy" fit people are only petite, skinny and short.
