Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Odd fit for my size and color inconsistent First, the color is more lime green than a cool dark green like pictured online. But it's not so bothersome that I'll return them. However, I will be exchanging for a smaller size. I feel like I have a hard time finding my size with athletic-type companies. If I buy something older off ebay, I have to size up, but recently I feel like companies like Patagonia have altered their sizing to not anger larger Americans. I'm 5'4" and about 125, but compact and muscle-y, so I tend to fit XS and S well enough. However, not currently at my peak fitness and hate tight clothes, so I went for a size 6 in these. However, definitely swimming in them. Several inches loose at the waist and even my tree trunk legs had plenty of room in the thigh area. I'm hoping a 4 will fit and because I'm not risking a 2 and have to return for being too small. I also wish the legs were shorter to be a true capri, I feel like these simply look like high-waters in a bad way due to how short I am. I'll probably just roll up the cuffs though, so no big deal there.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Casual crop This is a nice lightweight crop for summer. I bought a size 10 and 12 and kept the 10. I am 5'9" and close to 150 lbs. My only complaint is that these pants stretch quite a bit in the seat and thighs. Maybe Patagonia will keep the cut but, try another fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, nice looking chino-type pant I got these pants in bright coral at the Patagonia outlet in Dillon MT last year. They are awesome! They fit really well, with just the right amount of stretch. Calves are slim, but big enough to accommodate biking muscles. They are comfortable enough to wear for fun and look good enough to wear to the office. I will definitely be ordering another pair of these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pants; sizing runs bigger than previous years Haven't given this year's version a thorough test yet as it's still very much winter, but I expect I'll wear these a lot when spring finally comes. I've worn previous years' versions and found these are great basic pants for when I have to look presentable: photo assignments, desk days, travel, golf. Also o.k. for light hiking with my pack of dogs and great for cocktails on the deck... NOTE: Sizing runs much bigger than last year's version, with bigger pockets, too. I ordered my usual size and they have a roomy fit. I guess that's the difference between "regular" fit and the previous "slim" fit. Last year, I sized up. I like this year's version better, especially the pockets which can actually hold stuff, and have ordered a second pair!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pockets need redesigned I tried these capris on in the outlet store. I would have bought them, but the front pockets looked really goofy. Even though I barely have hips, the pockets flared out to the side. I don't understand why pants have straight and/or almost vertical front pockets, they don't look good on anyone. If you can get over the pockets, I'd recommend the pants because otherwise they were comfortable and versatile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Work I need professional looking clothes for work as a teacher, but like to be comfortable. These capris fit the bill perfectly. Numerous people complemented me on them, they fit great, and felt great. They are perfect for spring work-wear and double as nice spring weekend wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from VEEEEEERY nice These pants should be great for work and travel. I am 5'5' 118 lb and the size 4 fits well...trim but not tight. I got the blue which is a nice shade and I consider them a big step up from jeans. They can be dressed up or down easily. I hope they don't stretch too much over a day as I like the fit right out of the package. The length is slightly awkward on me...just above the ankle but not really capri...and they have a subtle flare but i suppose that helps when you want to fold them up. The material is soft and resists wrinkles giving it a dressier look.
