So light. So warm. The Ultralight Down Jacket combines 800-fill-power Traceable Down (goose down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked) with a superlight 15-denier 100% nylon Pertex Quantum® shell for a lightweight, toasty-warm down jacket.

One minute the wind howls and your breath freezes, and a second later the clouds part and the sun shines. A shoulder-season staple, our Ultralight Down Jacket features 800-fill-power Traceable Down (European goose down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked) and an ultralight nylon ripstop shell fabric that’s nearly half the weight and twice the strength of our other down shell fabrics. The sewn-through construction, tight channel pattern and just the right amount of down increase versatility for use in more moderate temperatures and diverse activities, while a DWR (durable water repellent) finish sheds snow. A slim silhouette maximizes thermal efficiency and suits its ideal uses: belay jacket over light layers at shaded crags, minimalist summer alpine bivies and unmatched warmth layered under a shell. Pockets include two zippered handwarmers and one zippered chest. The jacket self-stuffs into the left handwarmer to become a travel pillow, and into the chest pocket for storage, with carabiner clip-in loop. A drawcord hem keeps in the heat.
  • Ultralightweight Pertex Quantum® shell and liner fabrics use interlocking Y-shaped nylon fibers to enhance the performance of the DWR (durable water repellent) finish
  • 800-fill-power Traceable Down (goose down traced from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked)
  • Variegated channel construction stabilizes goose down; side panels with narrow channels provide shape and reduce bulk
  • Contoured fit accommodates movement while maintain loft and reducing drafts
  • Center-front zipper has interior storm flap and wicking kissing-welt zipper garage at chin for next-to-skin comfort
  • Two zippered handwarmer pockets and one zippered chest pocket have zipper garages; jacket self-stuffs into chest pocket with carabiner clip-in loop, as well as left-hand pocket as a travel pillow
  • Elastic-bound cuffs and hem with single drawcord adjustment seal in warmth

Women's Ultralight Down Jacket is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strange Fit Just got this in the mail. Thought I would like it more than I did. Than I tried it on. Patagonia usually puts out a good product. I can't say the same for this jacket. The review which said that the the ultralight felt like a goose trapped in a garbage bag was on the money with this description. It was too shiny in black and didn't exude much warmth. It made me run back to my usual jacket. The fit ran too long in the arms and had a strange look to it. I fantasized about having a thinner jacket but in the end thinner wasn't better in terms of comfort. And function is more important to me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not loving the fit I had the previous version of this jacket. It fit me much better. The quality is still great but it is too long in the sleeves and torso.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from fit has changed I have this coat from before 2014 and the fit has changed. The hip has narrowed and the Medium will no longer close on my size 8 frame. I went to the store to try it on and I would need another 4 inches on the hip. The size Large was enormous. Why would Patagonia do this??????? Then make such a huge discrepancy in the sizes?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light weight warmth My spring skiing experience is extremely fortified with this jacket!! Love the light weight warmth, and weather protection. It rained today for a bit and I'm still dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed I bought this jacket because my previous Patagonia Down Jacket is nearly unwearable after hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (just because of the smell, hard to believe I was that stinky!!) but after putting this jacket on, I wondered why I hadn't taken this on the PCT! It is incredibly light, super warm, and flattering. I honestly think that it is warmer than my other down jacket, yet somehow it's also lighter... my mind is blown and I would definitely recommend this jacket, especially for a thru-hike. I purchased during a sale, so I had to get a medium and I am normally a small (they were sold out), but it fits well and seems TTS for a M. Yet another piece of Patagonia gear I've fallen in love with.
