Frequently Asked Questions
You are welcome to return anything that was purchased from Patagonia—both new and sale items. Although there is no set time limit, we ask that returns for fit or color be made in a timely manner and that items be kept in new condition with tags attached. Returns received more than one year after the purchase date may be refunded with a Patagonia merchandise credit.
If you live near our stores in Toronto or Vancouver, you are welcome to bring your return or exchange into the store. Please bring the invoice or packing slip that came with your order and the original form of payment, if available. Our stores do not currently accept mail-in returns.

- If you have your order number, we recommend using our C$19 printable return shipping label, which includes tracking and insurance for your package.
- The C$19 shipping label cost will be deducted from your refund or merchandise credit.
- If you don’t have your order number, please use our Return Form and ship your package via Canada Post with tracking and insurance.
Once the return is processed by our warehouse, we refund to the original form of payment. Returns received more than one year after the purchase date may be refunded with a Patagonia merchandise credit via email.

Please bring the invoice/packing slip that came with your order and the original form of payment, if available.
If you purchased an item from an authorized dealer and can provide a receipt or other proof of purchase, we will refund the amount paid in the form of a Patagonia gift card. Without proof of purchase, you will be issued a gift card for the last known sale price of the item.
Authorized dealers that appear on the Store Locator will not be able to process your return unless you purchased the item through them originally. We will always accept returns on behalf of our authorized dealers. Simply use our Return Form or visit a Visit a Patagonia-owned store. If you can provide a receipt or other proof of purchase, we will refund the amount paid in the form of a merchandise credit.
If you don’t have your original order number, please print and fill out the Return Form and include the form with your item.
Ship the package to the address listed below via Canada Post with tracking and insurance. Please hold onto your tracking information. This gives you some recourse should the package get lost in transit.

How to return a gift with an order number:
- Use the online return process and select the Gift Return option.
- You will be issued a merchandise credit after your return is received and processed. The return shipping cost (C$19) will be deducted from your merchandise credit.
How to return a gift without an order number:
- Print and fill out the Return Form and include it in your package.
- Ship your package via Canada Post with tracking and insurance to the address on the form. Customers are responsible for the cost of the return.
*Merchandise credits can be used at Patagonia.ca, in a Patagonia-owned store or when placing orders through Customer Service. Please remember to include the proof of purchase with your gift return. Items returned without proof of purchase will be issued a merchandise credit for the last known sale price.
Once a wetsuit has been used in the water, we are unable to accept it for a size or fit return. New, unused wetsuits can be returned if they are in their original condition, with the tags attached. If you’d like to return your unused wetsuit, visit the Returns Page.
If you feel your wetsuit has failed due to construction or material defects, you are welcome to send it in for warranty evaluation. Please note that wetsuits require care to perform as intended. Patagonia is not responsible for wetsuits that show normal wear and tear, including scratches, fading or occasional rips. Contact Customer Service if you have questions about your warranty return.
