From ropes and a rack of cams to a change of clean clothes—whatever you stuff into this tough, highly weather-resistant duffel bag will be protected and easily accessible. Its main compartment is accessed by a zippered U-shaped lid, which has a pair of zippered mesh pockets on the underside for small items. A zippered exterior pocket holds the stuff you need quickly. The padded bottom panel adds structure and helps cushion the load when your duffel gets the baggage-handler treatment. Carrying options include padded, removable shoulder straps for a backpack carry, webbing handles with a snap closure, and haul loops at either end that facilitate linking multiple bags. Four daisy chains let you lash additional gear to the outside. Made from 15-oz 900-denier polyester ripstop (50% solution-dyed) with a TPU-film laminate and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect carry-on travel duffel I got this as a Christmas present last year. It has been with me every step of the way since. I've used it for up to 12 days traveling (warm climate) and it has been flawless. The straps all over the outside let you hook on a bunch of things from a sleeping bag, extra pair of shoes, water bottle, pretty much anything. The straps for the backpack are actually pretty comfortable, I wouldn't hike an entire day with it on my back, but for strolling around town looking for the hostel, carrying it around the airport and such. Perfect solution. It's also survived sitting out in pouring rain for a few minutes with everything inside stil bone dry. Highly recommended. All airlines have let me take it as a carry-on, which is definitely bonus points.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bomb Proof- almost I have an older 45L Black Hole Bag. I use it hard to carry clothing and gear at work. Often this is outdoors and always in rough conditions. The bag has held up well, under hard use and abuse. The only thing I could see that would make it a little better is to skip the fabric base and use the black hole material all the way around. Also, since my bag came with no shoulder strap, I use a pretty heavy daisy chain and a carabiner. Maybe the newer bags have a shoulder strap but for me it is essential. I've also hung my bag by the daisy chain too- so that's a plus and maybe a sewn-on strap wouldnt hold up in this application. Bottom line: awesome heavy duty kit that takes hard use in style.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No sling strap? Just got this in the mail today. Love everything about it except the fact that i can't carry it casually around anywhere. Good luck getting on a bus looking like a teenager from school while constantly inadvertently shoving the pretty large backpack in peoples faces with the shoulder straps. WE NEED SLING STRAPS! What a poor design choice. Event when hiking sling straps are often more comfortable when there is no belt. Pretty disappointed with this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't secure contents I bought this a week ago and was disappointed that there's no way to safely lock the bag. It comes in a pouch that is sewn into the bag and the pouch becomes the side zipper pocket. But if you open the side pocket you get access to the main compartment because the pouch has zippers on the inside. Unzip and the full contents of the bag are yours for the taking. It's a good duffel but if securing your contents is important, don't buy this bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Duffel The duffel is the perfect size! I use it for my weekend bag and when I am traveling. On the plane, it fits perfectly under the seat. I love that it comes with convenient straps to use it as a backpack. This bag is one tough little cookie! I throw it in the back of my Jeep for adventures and road trips, so it goes through alot of 'wear and tear', even though it doesn't show it. The only complaint I have it that it doesn't have a shoulder sling. Other than that, its perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bring back the sling strap! I just bought a second one of these bags because of how much I loved my first one. The reason I give it 4/5 is they took away the sling which I used all the time on my other bag and they replaced it with the backpack system which if I wanted to use it as a backpack I would have just bought a backpack. It’s not a bad system and I see what they are trying to do, but for a duffle bag I prefer the sling strap over the backpack straps. It would have been awesome if they had added the backpack straps and still kept the sling for even more carrying options. Over all it’s still a great bag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great travel bag I find myself using this bag all the time. It's great for short airline travel, very easy to bring several days worth of clothes as carry on using this. I also find it easy to fill up and throw in the car for travel from 2-5 days without any problem. Finally, it's great for those spontaneous weekend trips to the mountains where you don't need your backpacking gear, but still want to throw all your camping equipment in one bag to keep track of it. I own this and the 60L version. I definitely use this size more but I will point out a few specific uses where the 60L is superior (other than the obvious use for longer trips). This bag struggles to hold trekking poles, snowshoes, or an ice axe, but the 60L bag swallows these without any issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tough little carry on I’ve had this bag for a couple of years I also have the 90 and the 60 and the 32l backpack . They are all great bags. I love this one as a carry on or weekend bag it’s built like s tank and has ridden many miles in the bed of the truck traveling for work weekend trips to the lake carry on luggage while traveling. It’s the best carry on it’s not hard sided so it can squish into the overhead bin, and you can yank it back out with those haul handles without worrying about the handle breaking. the u shaped lid is great for getting to all your gear and the pockets in the lid let you keep your toiletries on top where they belong. Big fan of these bags in general but this one especially.
