Read More Close
Windproof, water-resistant and warm, the Boys’ Nano Puff® Jacket performs as an outer layer in cool weather and as an insulating midlayer when things get really cold. Its 30-denier polyester mini-ripstop fabric has a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to shed rain; lining is a polyester plain weave. A carefully designed quilt pattern holds the lightweight, compressible and 55% recycled 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco in place for long-lasting wear. Zippered handwarmers (with reflective webbing pulls) and a tall collar provide additional protection. Other details include an internal wind flap behind the front zipper; spandex binding at the sleeve openings; adjustable drawcord hem; internal zippered chest pocket (that doubles as a stuffsack) and a hand-me-down ID label.

Insulation

We use PrimaLoft® insulation inside insulated garments for its warmth, compressibility, and soft comfort. While the human body uses energy to stay warm, PrimaLoft insulation uses a patented microfiber structure to help the body retain warmth and conserve energy.

The proprietary ultra-fine fibers of PrimaLoft insulation form a tight collection of air pockets that trap heat from your body and keep the cold out, providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. When insulation gets wet, it loses these air pockets and consequently, its insulating properties. PrimaLoft ultra-fine fibers were developed to be water resistant so your insulation stays drier and maintains its insulating properties even when wet.
