Additional Information

The limited edition, handcrafted large Simple Pouch is repurposed from upcycled Patagonia rainwear into a functional, weather-resistant, one-of-a-kind bag.

Read More Close
The Simple Pouch repurposes well-worn Patagonia rainwear jackets that are too road-weary for polite society into durable, water-resistant bags ready to hit the road once more. A collaboration between Patagonia and Upcycle it Now, the bags are made from durable rainwear fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent finish) to shed moisture. Single interior compartment is lined for added durability; exterior pocket is made from actual repurposed jacket pocket. Limited-edition large bag dimensions: 7.5” x 5.75” (like all one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces, color and size vary slightly).

Materials

Former Patagonia rainwear including: H2No® Performance Standard shell: 2.5-layer, 2.7-oz 50-denier 100% recycled nylon ripstop with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish; H2No® Performance Standard shell: 2.5-layer, 2.2-oz 30-denier 100% nylon ripstop with a waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish; H2No® Performance Standard shell: 3-layer, 1.74-oz 12-denier 100% nylon ripstop with a 7-denier tricot backer, waterproof/breathable barrier and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish; 3-layer, 4.8-oz 75-denier 100% polyester plain-weave GORE-TEX® fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.
