Odor Resistant

Polygiene® odor control permanently protects your garments from smelling like a middle school locker room. Sweat itself is odorless, but it creates the conditions that bacteria need to multiply, and some of those bacteria produce odors. Polygiene permanent odor control stops the growth of odor-causing bacteria on fabrics, so you can wear more and wash less.

Active only on the fabric surface, Polygiene permanent odor control does not interfere with perspiration or with the skin’s natural bacterial flora. Polygiene particles are more than 100 times larger than nanoparticles and therefore are too large to penetrate to the skin’s barrier. Polygiene-treated fabrics have received Medical Class 1 approval in Europe, the same class that includes bandages.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality deteriorated--disappointed These underwear used to be amazing...lasted for years. Now...NOT THE CASE. Like every other review here, I am sorry to say that they are not worth it. The waist band/elastic breaks down in less than a year. Patagonia, please bring back your high quality...you are breaking down in some ways...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring Back Old Hipster & Active Cami! Please bring back the high quality and wide waistband original hipster. What happened to the staple Active Cami? I have worn Patagonia underwear for over 12 years. So disappointed in redesign and thin fabric of current design. Bad move of Patagonia to do away with the Active Cami. These I wear everyday. Unfortunately, Patagonia seems to have thrown away an everyday staple? I don’t know what happened to Patagonia these past couple years. The morning glory fabric is also gone. I tried to replace a top I loved from 2008 and the new fabric is nothing like that original Morning Glory fabric. It lasted and was of superior quality, just like Patagonia used to make. Unclear on cheap elastic flower panties Patagonia is now making. Folks, there’s a reason these hipsters are on sale... they aren’t what they used to be and are no longer worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wow - and not in a good way Wow, just wow. I have work active hipsters size large for years. I saw a sale and ordered a bunch to replace my almost three year old pairs, and the sizing is completely changed. Unacceptable, and WHY!? I now have to go to the trouble of returning these. Please take more pride in your products - this size descripency is ridiculous. See my pictures where I overlayed the new underwear on top of my old ones.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sizing is WAY off I originally purchased several pairs of size small (blue, yellow and black) about 6 months ago that fit well and don't shift throughout the day. When they went on sale, I figured it was time to pick up some more. However, none of the new size small fit (they are cheeky and the waistband is an inch shorter than my originals). I called customer service and ordered the next size up- Medium- they just arrived yesterday and only the purple ones fit even though all (blue, coral, black, and purple) are size medium. I'm now returning for the second time and reordering size large black, blue and more size medium purple. I wish they had better quality control on sizing and offered these in a nude color to wear under light summer clothing. I hope they hold up as well as the old version. I purchase patagonia because of the quality- please don't start making cheap stuff!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Moves around on me... Have 4 pair of old active hipsters (3-5 years old). They are awesome. Slightly thicker, but they stay in place!! I tried two different sizes in these (s and m - I'm 5'8 118 lbs...the med fit better, which to me means the sizing is a bit small, too), and both move around within 10 minutes of starting to jog. They probably would work for work though. They are comfortable. I just usually go for organic cotton or bamboo for daily use. I liked the hipsters for working out. Patagonia, please revisit the old formula on these. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go-to undies! I started with one or two that I FITB on sale...no worries it’s all I wear!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Elastic detaches I thought I was the only one but after reading the reviews (and throwing out several pairs of what used to be awesome underwear) I am not! I have always bought patagonia underwear - with pairs lasting through multiple pregnancies. I guess no more :-( Mine started falling apart after just a few washes!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waistband Unravels I've worn Active Hipsters for years. Absolute FAVORITE underwear, hands down. In fact, it's all I ever wore... until recently. I still love the fit and feel, however the waistband isn't even lasting six months before it starts to unravel. My older pairs lasted 4 to 5 YEARS before I'd retire them. These newer ones aren't even lasting a year. :( Patagonia was kind enough to let me return my three newest pairs, but I don't know what underwear to buy now! Sad day.
