Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Fair Trade Certified™

We pay a premium for every Fair Trade Certified item that carries our label. That extra money goes directly to the workers at the factory, and they decide how to spend it. Women's Long-Sleeved Blythewood Top is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS SHIRT I was very nervous about buying this shirt due to other negative reviews, but I went for it because of the sale price. So glad that I did! It is so soft and such a lovely color. I don't think I took it off for the first three days. Seriously.. I am 5'6", 135#, 25 with muscular arms. I am a 34B, with flat stomach and pear shaped. I usually wear a small top, other xs tops generally are too tight over the bicep. This shirt fit perfectly in a XS. No weird sleeves or extra materials. It is not skin tight, still loose but just right- not baggy. Very comfy shirt but I do agree not for layering due to boat neck neckline. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft tee, nice grey color Got this shirt in the short sleeve and long sleeve version. Got a size small it’s pretty true to size. I love how soft the shirt is and the sleeve length is great, but there is way too much material in the arm pit area. Almost dolman sleeve, but not really?! I got this for layering and it just did not feel right with the extra fabric. Pretty sure an exchange for an XS would not have helped get me the right fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from too many seams I bought this shirt to keep the sun off of my arms in the summer, and it will work to do that, but fit and styling of it leaves a lot to be desired. My first criticism is that there are WAY too many seams; THREE seams on each side of the shirt, for a total of SIX vertical seams. There is also an "extra" seam around the bicep; when you view it from the back, there are two seams in the triceps area. My second criticism is that this is marketed as a "layering" top, but the neckline is wide, which exposes the shirt underneath, as you can see in the photo. Useless as a layering top. My third criticism is the scoop neck exposes the upper chest to the sun. This isn't a huge deal; I can wear a wide-brim hat or sunscreen on my chest. My fourth criticism is that there is too much material in the under-arm area, almost like Dolman sleeves. (You can Google Dolman sleeves if you don't know what they are.) The reason there's too much material is that I need a large to accommodate my 34DD chest and jiggle-in-the-middle, but my shoulders and arms would fit a medium. When I order a medium, the chest and belly areas are too tight and when I order a large, there is extra material in spots. (I'm 5'4'', 142 pounds.) There is some good news... The material is very nice...soft and smooth. I like the cuffs on the wrists; the cuffs keep the sleeves from being floppy. It's nice and long; the back covers my rear end. I like the shirt enough to keep it, but just barely. It's comfortable and will keep the sun off my arms. I'm just completely dumbfounded at the excessive number of seams and why in the world would they market a wide-neck top as a layering top?
