Retail Grants Program
Through our Retail Grants Program, we fund environmental work that takes place near one of our Patagonia retail stores.
As with all Patagonia grants programs, our Retail Grants Program supports small grassroots activist organizations with provocative direct-action agendas, working strategically on multipronged campaigns to preserve and protect our environment. We help local groups working to protect local habitats and frontline communities through bold, original actions.
We are most interested in making Retail Grants to organizations that identify and work on the root causes of problems and approach issues with a commitment to long-term change. We look for innovative groups with proposed projects that are quantifiable, with specific goals, objectives and action plans, and that include measures for evaluating success.
Because we're a privately held company, we have the freedom to fund groups off the beaten track, and that's where we believe our small grants are most effective. The funding range for a retail grant is typically between $8,000 and $12,000, depending on the specific needs of the project.
We accept one proposal per group per our fiscal year (May 1–April 30). There are two annual deadlines for the Retail Grants Program:
April 30 - All applications received in April will receive a response by the end of August.
August 31 - All applications received in August will receive a response by the end of January.
To begin the application process, click “Apply Now” to take the eligibility quiz and find out if your work fits within our guidelines. If your work is eligible, you will then be directed to the grant application form. Thank you for your interest in Patagonia’s Retail Grants Program.
Please Note: Each store’s grants program is handled differently and could be subject to change, depending on your location. Find and contact a Patagonia store near you.
