These pants have an odd fit for my slender body. The waist is fine in a size XS, but very baggy in the hips and thighs. For me it seems like the men's XXS pants in general fit better for me. I am 5'6'' and about 105 pounds. For someone with a more curvy shape, the pants would be excellent!
I have been needing some new field pants. These are just what I was looking for! I got them a little big so I can layer some leggings underneath for the winter time. Will likely get in a second color soon!
Very comfortable pants. The material is stretchy but feels very sturdy at the same time. I would say these run small, I'm normally a 16/18 and I wound up buying the 22 in store!
Love these pants so much! I wear them for upland bird hunting, hiking, and general outdoor wear. They fit so well and move nicely. I love that they have a Velcro waist size adjustment so I don't have to have a belt. I love the zip pockets on the front as a place for my phone. I have worn them for weeks straight. The fabric seems to wash well a... Read Morend so far has not held onto stains.
First, drop any idea of trying to compare Patagonia sizing to any other retailer. Across the board their clothing runs 2 sizes smaller. I wear a 14 all day long at all other retailers (sometimes a 12 if it's a loose fit) but ordered these in a 18 and they fit, maybe even a bit snug. I love the wine color so I can wear them with black on top. I... Read More don't find that they make too much of a swishy noise for how water resistant they are. The cut is very flattering, the material is high quality and doesn't show any of my flaws. I plan to bring these on my Iceland trip for rainy weather. Warmth, not so much - but that is not what they were designed for. These are a nice hiking in the rain pant. I'm 5'5" and they are a perfect length with hiking boots.
Perfect fit, super comfortable, great looking, excellent quality - what more could you ask for? Oh - how about a nice dark color other than black or navy - yesssss!!! These are a total win.
I bought the purple ones first because ...purple! and i loved them so much i got 2 more colors as soon as i tried them on. I'm between a size 20-22 and i ordered the 22 based on the reviews and they fit perfectly. I love the design and the fabric. They are so easy to move in and feel so durable and good! This is the first pair of technical pants that actually fits my larger frame really well and feels great too. The only thing I would would say is that I am definitely going to reinforce the button right away, it's kind of weak and I can tell it won't stay on long, but that's definitely not how the rest of the pants feel! LOVE THEM!
Thank you Patagonia, for making some larger technical gear. I've been in this larger body for 25 years. 35 years as a backpacker, 22 years as a snowboarder and 12 of those as a professional instructor and now I guide for REI.
We out here, in all sizes! Keep up the good work!
These are replacing an old pair worn out. I use them for playing golf in Scotland. Good enough for the brief showers. Dry out quick. Warm enough for the cool weather. Love the fit. Nice material but awkward fit for those who are curvy
I usually wear size 6 in jeans and got an 8 for hiking. They fit, but they feel awkward around the crotch area (it feels too short and tight for my liking). As a Latina, with other Latina friends who are also more on the curvy side, I would not recommend.

Truthfully - the package was
Truthfully - the package was stolen out of my apartment mailroom, so i didnt get them. Im basing my review is based on the size 12 that I sent back. We filed a police report as the whole room of packages was stolen. Sorry I didnt get to try these. I love Patagonia! Thanks for trying to exchange them!
Fits like a true size 6. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, I suggest going up one size. I love the pockets all around, especially the zippered ones on each side.
These are the nicest pants I have owned. I love the way you can adjust the waist with its band. The weight is light but warm and soft against the skin. They wash we... Read Morell and will hang dry quickly.
These are the best quality and nicest pants I have owned. They are warm for how light weight they are and they stretch to accommodate every move I make. The length is perfect for me at 5 1/2 ' tall. The waist and cuffs at the foot adjust easily with a flat band. They wash easily and dry fast when they are hung to dry. I bought two pair.
I am typically a size 8/medium in pants, but went for a size 10 as the 8 was out of stock- I should have gotten a 12!
Primarily purchased for mild-weather hiking.

Great dog walking pants
I was looking to replace a pair of insulated, water resistant Title 9 pants and settled on the Point Peak Trail Pants. I love the number of pockets, the adjustable waist/pant legs. My only wish is that they were more insulated (the insulated part stops mid thigh). They are very roomy which allows for wearing a base layer underneath, but some days I... Read More don't want to have to think about adding a base layer. I use them for walking the dogs in the colder months. Would definitely recommend.
This is my second pair. They run a bit small but I love the fit. They are my favorite fall spring hiking pants. Just enough stretch/flexibility when climbing over obstacles or up an uneven trail
I needed pants for hiking when the weather is unpredictably cool or rainy. These were perfect! Pockets were surprisingly generous, which I appreciate. Thi... Read Mores was a great investment piece for future camping and hiking trips.
We appreciate your thoughtful and detailed feedback! Due to the "slim" fit design on these pants, sizing up for more room to layer is a great idea. Spot on
I bought these specifically to hike in but I will wear them be able to wear them for many outdoor activities this winter. These pants have a lot of stretch and are very comfortable to wear. My first use was a very rainy weekend that had a lot of walking outside. These pants shed water like a duck! They fit the same as my Vengas and RPS rock pants size wise. I got the dark blue color and love it! These will also be great for travel and will help me reduce excess packing of pants as I feel like the are all I will need. I have a lot of Patagonia pants as I am obsessed with them but I have to say these are my new favorites!!
Very comfortable, look good all day. I am a veterinarian and often get covered in dirt and body fluids but these pants are easily wiped clean and ready to go again. Have been wearing this style for years and still have the originals that have never worn out or had a hole poked in them! The BEST!!
These Point Peak Trail pants fit so well and more with my body. I have made them my go-to pant for plan and work! I got one in each color. Recently I wore these for 9 days straight on a trip to Africa--again, just perfect for all of my activities and work.
I'm 5'4" and about 130 lbs. I usually wear a 6 for Patagonia pants but I had to size up to an 8 for these. I like that there are belt loops but I can take or leave the waist adjusters. The length on the regular works for me but I'm glad they have the ankle closures so I can cinch around my boots if I choose to. Overall, very happy with these pants and would recommend. Just figure out how to get the right sizing for yourself. Side note, I was between these pants and the Altvia for my needs. I thought the Point Peak were a little bit heavier in the feel of the material, which I wanted for cooler weather hiking. The Altvia's felt super light which might be why folks like them for climbing. I think either would be good hiking pants but this was a personal preference for me.
I just received these pants and tried them on, so haven't used them in the field yet. They are a great material, very comfortable, yet look durable. You can't tell from the pix online, but the back of the pant has reverse colors - the beige color goes down to where a pair of shorts would end, and the back of the legs is the darker brown color. I think they actually look pretty cool. Lots of zipper pockets, as well as side pockets for your hands in cooler weather. There are velcro adjustments on the waist and at the ankles, which is nice. The legs are 31" - I wouldn't want them any shorter, but they should work great with hiking boots. So far I really dig these and am looking forward to hiking in them soon.
Only worn twice in the field so far. These pants are great for more extreme hiking and climbing (we encounter heavy brush and also have to slide down rocks). Finally! Patagonia delivers on a rugged scrambling/hiking pant. Only complaint: No need for side pockets; stick with zippers including thigh. Runs small, I sized up one size. A fantastic pant for rugged adventures.
There are a lot of things I love about these pants. I love the fabrication and the details in the leg and cuffs. I like the color too. However, I usually take between a size 4 and 6 in pants. Great pants, run small
I purchased a size 8 and a size 10 because the other reviews said they ran small, and they were right. I could barely button the size 8's, and that is my normal size in most pants. The 10's are a bit snug, but have enough give that I think they will stretch out a little with wear. Run a little short too. Wish they were longer. I am 5'... Read More;6", 160.

Nice shoulder season pant
These pants are a replacement for a pair the company no longer fixes. Good company policy of standing behind their products. Additionally, sales person was super nice and helpful. Ill buy Patagonia more often just for the return policy.

Feels great but too small
I got this to be my my new hiking pant. The material feels great, tough but lightweight. But it runs real small. I am normally a 14 but I got the 16 to have some more room for activity. Sadly, I could not close the 16's. Real shot to my ego. Going to have to return it and find something else. Size up if you are not sure or if between sizes!
These pants are exactly what I hoped for. Fairly light weight, somewhat stretchy material is perfect for my active job (and hiking- so they are a great multi purpose pant.)
