Warm and comfortable to wear
I enjoy wearing this parka. I have worn it in light snow, light rain, and wind chills down to 20 degrees with just a long sleeve underneath and have stayed warm. The cut is large enough for layering at my typical size. The sleeve length is just right. The hood is very comfortable. The flannel lining inside is very soft and cozy. I also love the int... My third one!
This is the third time i have bought one of these coats. I currently wear all three- my old one is worn, but i wear it for walking my dogs. I just love them- super warm, even though they aren't waterproof i wear in the rain they dry quickly and the water never seeps through (i live in portland, oregon). Stylish and warm
This jacket is hands down my new every day go to! Its stylish, I get tons of compliments on it! It keeps me very warm and dry if raining. Does Not Fit Well
I've been wanting to buy this coat for a few years, but I am terribly disappointed in the fit. I ordered both a medium (one size up from the size chart, based on other reviews) and later a large. Both were constructed far too small in the shoulders and chest. (I'm a farmer, 36C bust, 5 feet 4 inches tall, small but muscular frame.) No fre... Hi Natacha! Thank you for writing us a review on the Prairie Dawn Parka. We're sorry to hear the fit wasn't quite right. We've shared your feedback with our design team. Please note, your satisfaction is always guaranteed so you're welcome to [return](https://www.patagonia.ca/returns.html).
Love love love this Parka. It fits perfectly and is so warm. I was afraid that I would need layers underneath it but I didn't. It actually feels heavy on me which makes me feel warmer and comforted. I got this jacket to wear during the Fall but I think I will make it my main winter jacket too.
Looked cute online
Cute coat but ran large. Unfortunately when you have some curves sometimes they make everything larger, like broad shoulders and long arms. It was also really long. Just not a good fit for me and my body type.

A little frumpy
While I normally wear a size Medium in Patagonia wear, I felt this one was a bit larger than I expected. I liked the warmth factor of this coat, and all the different pockets, but the coat still felt a bit frumpy, even after cinching the waist, and the sleeves were too long. Relatively warm w/ good fit
Overall fits really well. I am typically a size XS-S, but I went with the small and it fits perfectly. Overall, I am impressed with the quality, the only negative being that a line of stitching inside the right pocket holding down a flap of fabric near the top of the pocket did come off in about 2-3 weeks. This does not compromise the integrity of ... Read Morethe jacket, but is a (very) minor inconvenience. This is a warm jacket, but would need additional thermal layers underneath for below about twenty degrees. There are two buttons on each sleeve allowing you to roll up your sleeves really easily without taking the jacket off, which is probably my favorite feature. It is extremely useful when doing just about any work with your hands.
Great warm jacket
I love this parka! I live on a farm and need a work jacket that is both durable and warm. It's not meant to be a rain jacket, but I've worn it in a light rainfall and have stayed totally dry. Very Chic-Casual as well as formal
This is a very classy canvas type coat. Formal and casual. The inside of the Nest Brown color has lighter washed flannel that has a used look with some fuzz balls. I wish it was darker. Perfect cozy winter jacket
Everything about this jacket is perfect (for me). I wanted a cozy jacket, with a hood, deep pockets and a slight oversized fit. Unfortunately Nothing Like The Old Version
I love the Prairie Dawn Parka and have been wearing it since 2018. I ordered a new one due to fraying on the sleeves and was so excited for it to arrive. Just as warm from insulation as my much more puffy winter coats. Enough room in the arms to wear a thick sweatshirt underneath and still be able to move my arms. I initially purchased this parka for some Spring travel through Patagonia, Argentina, where this Florida girl was properly insulated from the freezing mornings! Hey Patricia, thank you for sharing this feedback with us, we're glad you were able to proceed with a return. This parka measures in at 1,244.83 g's. Love the look of this coat! Arms are a little tight so it would be hard to wear a hoodie underneath but so far its kept me warm!

I have been eyeing this parka for a while now and finally pulled the trigger-so happy I did. The fit is perfect even with my broad shoulders and the length comes just above my knees keeping me super warm. I love the blue color! Highly recommend this to anyone who is skeptical.
Warm sturdy and cute
I love the length and fit of this coat. The drawstring waist is also nice. It has great pockets. The buttons and zipper are very sturdy. It is definitely a warm coat - but without a long sleeve or sweatshirt under it, I do feel if there is a breeze it comes up the sleeves due to the style of the cuff.

I don’t purchase a lot of new items and I’ve been looking at this coat since last winter. Finally bought it and I’m very happy with it. This is the most comfortable, furry warm inside, canvas type outside jacket Ive ever owned. I dont write reviews but seriously, this jacket is 5 star!! When its fully zipped you will feel no wind whatsoever. I wear XS and it fit beautifully. Ive worn it in 25 degree weather and was completely warm.

the title is pretty self-explanatory. i got this coat as a christmas present and it is literally the best coat i have ever owned. its super warm and blocks any breeze from sneaking under the coat, and its long enough that it covers my bottom and even some part of my thighs. it was originally purchased for me in a size small, which was wrong so i ... Ive had this coat for a year but only wore it for the first time today. It was around 30 degrees at dawn when I went out to walk the dogs. Also I found the pockets to be cold feeling as well, they have the same silky lining. A lot of coats have the soft brushed flannel type lining in the pockets to keep your hands warm . Pockets are nice and big though and I like the upper pockets as well. I feel like the coat does not have a good weight to warmth ratio.
