I enjoy wearing this parka. I have worn it in light snow, light rain, and wind chills down to 20 degrees with just a long sleeve underneath and have stayed warm. This is the third time i have bought one of these coats. I currently wear all three- my old one is worn, but i wear it for walking my dogs. This jacket is hands down my new every day go to! Its stylish, I get tons of compliments on it! It keeps me very warm and dry if raining. I've been wanting to buy this coat for a few years, but I am terribly disappointed in the fit. I ordered both a medium (one size up from the size chart, based on other reviews) and later a large. Perfect Fit
Love love love this Parka. It fits perfectly and is so warm. I was afraid that I would need layers underneath it but I didn't. It actually feels heavy on me which makes me feel warmer and comforted. I got this jacket to wear during the Fall but I think I will make it my main winter jacket too.
Cute coat but ran large. Unfortunately when you have some curves sometimes they make everything larger, like broad shoulders and long arms. It was also really long. Just not a good fit for me and my body type.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review and we are incredibly sorry to hear about the issues you had with the fit and sizing. Please know you are more than welcome to [return](https://www.patagonia.com/returns.html) this parka back to us as we want you to be completely satisfied with all of your Patagonia products. In the meantime, we will be passing along this feedback to our Product Designers.

Love it!
I love the look and feel of the organic cotton canvas and the fleece hood is really cozy. I feel like I can dress this jacket up or down for work or casual everyday. Most importantly, it keeps me warm. It is definitely not waterproof.
While I normally wear a size Medium in Patagonia wear, I felt this one was a bit larger than I expected. Overall fits really well. I am typically a size XS-S, but I went with the small and it fits perfectly. There are two buttons on each sleeve allowing you to roll up your sleeves really easily without taking the jacket off, which is probably my favorite feature. It is extremely useful when doing just about any work with your hands.
I love this parka! I live on a farm and need a work jacket that is both durable and warm. It's not meant to be a rain jacket, but I've worn it in a light rainfall and have stayed totally dry. This is a very classy canvas type coat. Formal and casual. The inside of the Nest Brown color has lighter washed flannel that has a used look with some fuzz balls. I wish it was darker. Super warm & comfortable !
Recommend by a friend & it's easily my favorite jacket !
I am very happy with this coat. I appreciate the reviews and it influenced my choice in selecting a Large. I like the fit, style, color and overall appearance.
Everything about this jacket is perfect (for me). I wanted a cozy jacket, with a hood, deep pockets and a slight oversized fit.

I love the Prairie Dawn Parka and have been wearing it since 2018. I ordered a new one due to fraying on the sleeves and was so excited for it to arrive. Absolutely love this parka. It's very comfy and heavy
I have several down jackets but wanted something better at wind blocking so tried this coat. I walk my dog around 4 miles a day and this has been a great addition to my coat collection! Its warm and also stylish. Hat is nicely lined The inside lining is a beautiful plaid flannel.
This Parka keeps me warm in cold mornings and evenings during my walks. I love the length, it helps having the longer coverage. This jacket completely rocks. I got it to replace a puffer and when I felt how thin it was I was pretty dismayed, but to my surprise it is even warmer! Love it. Keeps up with Chicago winters and it's a very flattering cut.
I have never been so completely satisfied with a garment as I am with this Patagonia parka!!! It exceeded my expectations. I love the parka, it's the perfect length and weight for winter. It's very cozy and I like the drawstring waist to give it more complementary shape. Highly recommend!

Warm and great fit
I am 5' 3" and 140 lb with a small bust and a medium fits me great even with multiple layers underneath (though a little snug when zipped up). Perfect for me walking to class in NYC.
I have been eyeing this parka for a while now and finally pulled the trigger-so happy I did. The fit is perfect even with my broad shoulders and the length comes just above my knees keeping me super warm. I love the blue color! Highly recommend this to anyone who is skeptical.
I love the length and fit of this coat. The drawstring waist is also nice. It has great pockets. The buttons and zipper are very sturdy. It is definitely a warm coat - but without a long sleeve or sweatshirt under it, I do feel if there is a breeze it comes up the sleeves due to the style of the cuff.
I don’t purchase a lot of new items and I’ve been looking at this coat since last winter. Finally bought it and I’m very happy with it. Wool hood is really warm. Material on the inside is so comfortable, and breathable. Very comfortable fit. Adjustable at the waist to be pulled tighter. Good front pocket size. Wear it casually. Was super warm on hike too.
I have had this jacket for 4 years and it is amazing. I’ve used it for day to day use as well as working in treeplanting camps and on the farm. Since then I’ve accumulated some stains but the jacket is still in perfect shape. Warm and practical. Worth the splurge
This is the most comfortable, furry warm inside, canvas type outside jacket Ive ever owned. I dont write reviews but seriously, this jacket is 5 star!! When its fully zipped you will feel no wind whatsoever. I wear XS and it fit beautifully. Ive worn it in 25 degree weather and was completely warm.

best coat i have ever owned
the title is pretty self-explanatory. i got this coat as a christmas present and it is literally the best coat i have ever owned. its super warm and blocks any breeze from sneaking under the coat, and its long enough that it covers my bottom and even some part of my thighs.

Ive had this coat for a year but only wore it for the first time today. It was around 30 degrees at dawn when I went out to walk the dogs. Read Morehe outer material lets the cold seep through if there is just a bit of wind, and the silky arm lining does not help. Also I found the pockets to be cold feeling as well, they have the same silky lining. A lot of coats have the soft brushed flannel type lining in the pockets to keep your hands warm . Pockets are nice and big though and I like the upper pockets as well. I feel like the coat does not have a good weight to warmth ratio. Its heavy, but is more suited to the 40ish degree days where Id rather wear something lighter (but equally warm) like my favorite Patagonia Fjord quilted flannel.
I am an extra small in all things Patagonia. An XS fit in the torso but was too tight in the chest/shoulders. The fabric doesnt really stretch. Otherwise a very nice casual coat.

I ordered the Burnished Red in a Medium from Backcountry.com, as Patagonia website is out of stock. This is a warm, cozy jacket and I love the color. The inside waistband adjustment allows a custom fit. The hidden snaps are a nice addition to the zipper. As always, Patagonia delivers excellent quality.
I love the color of this coat and the weight. It has a nice hood and is very warm. The only thing I would change is the pockets open in a weird direction which can be cumbersome with mittens on.

Love the fit and color. Warm so far in a MN fall and I anticipate it will be great in the winter.
This coat is so warm and comfy! Heavier weight because of the canvas but not stiff. Hits a few inches above my knees and I sized up for a more oversized fit. Purchasing a second color because I love it so much. Highly recommend!
I really wanted to like this parka. Style and color is cute (nest brown), but I'm 5'1 and it was just way too long. The parka hit at my knees. Too bad there isn't a petite version. Must return.
