Nice shirt, longer sleeves please
I am overall very pleased with it. The material is soft and comfortable, and the color is just as pictured. The fit is also great, except for the sleeves. They are a bit short on me, and I would have liked them to be about an inch or two longer. Your jackets fit but the shirts tend to be short.
Despite the short sleeves, I still really like this ... Read Moreshirt and I plan on wearing it often.
I tried on the large and the xlarge in the store. The large was almost too snug, but the XL was crazy big. I ordered the XL because it was all cotton and bound to shrink. After washing the XL in hot water, it was still crazy big. Don't know if I'll be wearing this one as it looks like it's someone else's shirt. Great shirt, sizi... Great lightweight flannel shirt
I like this flannel shirt as its not too heavy and warm to wear around town. Fit is true to size- I am 6 ft 2 in 270 lbs and XXL IS right on
Soft, comfortable and pleasant to wear. The Fjord Flannel has the feel of a broken in and cared for hand me down straight out of the box. Cut to be roomy without being baggy, this flannel is sure to get many a use this winter season.
Pretty good shirt, but be weary of length if you're tall
I have 4 or 5 of these at this point, most in medium size. I went with a large this time because the medium runs short on me, especially after being washed, and I was kind of disappointed that the difference in size was more pronounced in the width and not the length of the shirt. I've been wearing Patagonia flannel shirts happily for years. At present I have several previous generation flannels and several mid weight Fjord shirts. I love them all and wear them daily fall to spring.

Nice button down
The fabric, fit, and comfort are top-notch. An excellent everyday shirt.
I went into the Patagonia store in Honolulu looking to replace an old, hole-filled and wood-glue stained flannel that I had been wearing way past its lifespan and found what might be the most comfortable flannel Ive ever owned. The fabric is very soft. The pattern and colors are great. The fit it slightly loose but that is perfect for the climate I... I dont have a lot of money so when I do decide to spend some of it at Patagonia, its for something I expect to keep for years. Perfect Weight
I have been purchasing & enjoying Patagonia/Chouinard/Black Diamond clothing & Gear for over 40 years. In addition to the usual high quality of these shirts, they are the perfect lightweight flannel for casual three-season wear.
The fit is perfect for me at 5'8" and 155 pounds. Since the sleeves are a bit long (which I like), it should fit someone taller with longer arms. The body is not so long that it can't be worn comfortably untucked. The flannel is very soft and light weight so can be worn when temperature is in the 70s.
I bought this for my husband as a gift and he loves it. The material is soft and the color is nice. It washes well, but does get a wrinkle at the hem when it comes out of the dryer. Other than that, it is perfect.
I got a Large after much internal debate and it turned out to be for the best. I am forever between a Large and a Medium. The size calculator recommended a Medium and the 6'1" model, my exact height, was wearing a Medium in the picture. I am a fairly skinny individual coming in around 160lbs, so you'd think I would want to size down ... Read Morebut I prefer to have plenty of length in the arms and have it just slightly on the bigger size. So I took the risk and after a few wash and dries the Large proved to be a perfect fit. Also the fabric happens to be very comfy and the construction of the garment appears to be solid. Thanks Patagonia
Had to return this, as the sleeves didn't come close to reaching my wrists. I have a couple other of these flannels, and every year/season they seem to fit differently. Wish the sizes were more consistent!

Go to flannel
Good looking flannel shirt; runs a little small, but I'm a skinny hard to fit guy. Like the color and look.
I've had the Fjord Flannel medium weight for about a year now and love it. Based on that, I went for the light weight version. Also love it, except for the length of the body. For me, being somewhat long waisted, it is about 3/4" to 1" too short. Interestingly, that is not the case with the medium weight. That being said, the rest of... Read More the fit and the comfortable fabric have already made it a favorite.
Cozy with a long sleeve t shirt underneath or makes a good light layer with a short sleeve shirt underneath. The sleeve length fits longer than the many previous Fjord shirts Ive bought from Patagonia while the torso fit perfectly. Perhaps this is a one off or they adjusted the sizing. Besides the sleeves Id give it 5 stars.

If you are like me and keep shirts until they actually wear out expect a slimmer cut on the new button down shirts! Still great shirts just a bit smaller than I am used to and like.
Washed a couple times so far - very comfy and feels like a pair of jeans worn for years - sleeve length is great and a tad large but great for layering.
Great shirt, will like last awhile. Really good weight/fabric. I'm 5'7, about 160 lb, and originally got a medium. Too small. Exchanged for a large and all good.

I wear a large in everything Patagonia makes. I am 6'4" athletic build. Received this shirt as a Christmas gift. Barely made it past my belt. Compared to other flannel shirts made by Patagonia I believe it is 2 or more inches shorter in the length. XL will probably be too large and baggie. May have to go with another style. Any suggestion... Read Mores?

Comfy and visually appealing
Been wanting to get some new flannel shirts for a while. Wife got me this one for Christmas and I loved it so much that I bought 2 more just like (different colors). Warm, cozy and stylish. I was lucky to get them on sale. I will consider getting additional colors in future.
As every piece of Patagonia gear/clothing I own - perfect in so many ways. Keep telling all-not a cheap date but very much worth it in so many ways..
Thank you!
I've been a customer since day one. As I write this, I'm wearing patagonia gear that spans nearly three decades.
The shirt I'm reveiwing is one of those items I've wanted for a long time. They look warm and comfy, and I live in the mountains. But I rarely see a color or design I'd be happy with. Last year I saw one that w... Read Moreas, yeah, I could live with that. So I ordered it. Fit is great. Tailoring is superb, and the fabric is very nice. I really wanted another one. Especially since my wife got one remarkably similar to mine... So she ordered the tidepool blue for me. The colors looked promising.
When it arrived, I was surprised, and yet not. Being a photographer, I recognized the problem: some colors just don't reproduce well online, regardless of the quality of monitor. This shirt suffered a bit from that phenomenon. But worse, the photographs don't begin to convey the contrast between the colors and the white. It was blinding, and way more flashy than I care to wear. So, we returned it.
I've come to depend on Patagonia for clothes that fit small/skinny people. And many of your designs I treasure. But for many years now, men's colors have ranged from corny to Microsoft. It's as if men couldn't possibly want a piece of clothing that was just drop dead beautiful. And flannel plaids are a perfect place to offer something that is simultaneously masculine and gorgeous. I just don't get it.
There was a point when Patagonia's mens clothing colors, and sometimes cut as well, shifted to boring/dirtbag/jcpenny depressed.
The only notable recent exception I can come up with is the capilene air crew and hoodies (I own both mens and womens). I bought a mens last year in a knockout dark teal. What an amazing piece of kit!
I know you're capable. There's a perspective on life that was once there. And it no longer is.
Surprise me next year. Please!
The material and design are both great. I am a reliable Medium in Patagonia Men's clothing. I tried on both the small and medium of this shirt. The small was a bit too small and the medium is a bit too big. If there was a size right between them, it would fit perfectly. Otherwise, it seems like a great shirt.

Soft and warm
This is a nice shirt. But I wish Patagonia would make shirts like they did in the 90s. Great cotton shirts with cool patterns and not skin tight. More cool patterns and just straight up cotton please! No weird filler in the collar and no button down collars.

Good quality
The shirt is well made and should last many years.
Really soft and warm shirt. I got the color I wanted. I did notice a black spot on the color. I would have sent it back but a replacement would not be in my choice of size and color.
The Patagonia quality shines through again here. This shirt fits me very well, even my extra long arms! So comfortable; extraordinary craftsmanship. This garment is made to last.
Teh fit and material of this top is very comfortable. It is warm enough that it will keep you comfortable on a 40-50 degree morning, but not so heavy that you are sweating in the 70 degree afternoon. Looks and feels great.
I've been getting my flannel from LL Bean for years. Thought I'd update my flannel wardrobe with Patagonia after the recent announcement that Patagonia would be giving itself away to planet Earth. I was not disappointed. I like the weight of this flannel. It's not too heavy, but feels soft and warm.
I have long been a fan of the Fjord Flannel shirt line. I find them comfortable and warm. I am on the shorter, but chunkier size and a medium is generally a good fit. However, like some others I find the sleeves a little on the long side, but that is more down to me being vertically challenged.
I am 5'8" and 165 PDS. I prefer a looser fit and went with a size large. A medium is my suggested size. The models are all skinny, and no doubt a medium fits them as shown. I do not have a large gut, but a size Large is still better for me. For my height, the sleeves are very long in a medium or a large. The flannel is very soft. I sugges... Bought this for my husband who loves it. Colors are great as is quality. This will get years of wear. Happy to recommend and support this terrific company.
I returned this because it didnt fit. I would try a smaller size on when I see one in a store, to see if it fits. Im usually xl in Patagonia shirts but some large fits better. I liked the material.

Best flannel off the shelf
One of the nicest flannel shirts Ive ever had. Perfect for a horse back ride and a day on the Ranch.
I love the Libbey: Dark Camel. I generally shop for color, Patagonia seems a bit ahead of the rest on current/upcoming trends. This shirt is so soft i catch myself petting it. Comfortable as they come and cool enough for wearing at The Studio. I can already see my sisters nabbing this from me on our summer lake Air BnB.
I usually have to wear some sort of undershirt when I wear button up shirts, but the material for this shirt is truly super soft, and is not irritating to the skin. I think of flannel as an overshirt, so I ordered a size up from my usual XS. This worked out, fitting for both single layer and over another shirt. First one I've bought--Emma Wood Birch--the fabric and construction is very nice. Nice and airy, rather than insistently plaid.
Fantastic casual/work shirt. Fits true to size on the slim fit scale. Im 5ft9in 160lbs for reference. Please make one in the Borealis Green color that last years storm stride pants and jacket came in :)
I am 6 ft 3 in and weigh 215 lbs and the large fits me perfectly. This shirt has been my go-to shirt as we have moved from winter to spring. This shirt is very soft and has the right level of warmth. I wear a vest with it on cool days and a warmer layer on colder days. I am looking to add another one soon so that I have another color option!
The shirt is great. Incredibly soft, great for anything, really comfortable, high quality. Thinner than the regular Fjord but similar cut and feel. Highly recommended.
I love the weight, feel, appearance, and durability of this shirt. I've been buying this shirt for years and the fabric seems to be getting better each year. I have two that I've been wearing weekly for about 5 years and they still look great.
Overall I’m extremely pleased with this purchase! The shirt fits greats, looks great and has a warmth about it without the bulk of other flannel shirts from competitors.
