To make the most durable work denim possible, we turned to the strongest lightweight fiber in the world. The newest addition to the Patagonia Workwear line, our Steel Forge Denim blends 92% organic cotton with 8% Dyneema, a fiber that's light enough to float on water but 15 times stronger than steel. It's used in crane slings, tow ropes and anchor cables, and now it's helping us fuse a traditional fabric with advanced technology to build a more durable material that will withstand years of tough work.
Heavier-duty for the toughest tasks
Built for the hardest work, our heavy-duty Iron Forge Hemp canvas needs no break-in and offers excellent strength, comfort and mobility for almost any trade or task.
The industrial hemp fiber gives the canvas its toughness and durability; the recycled polyester and organic cotton provide a soft hand and allow a tighter weave.
Hard-working and lighter weight
We build our work clothing for the people who are putting their backs into it, day in and day out, to better their own piece of ground. Here are some of the dedicated folks who have been putting Patagonia Workwear to the test.
Like most hands-on tasks, the requirements for work clothing have stayed much the same over the years: Let you lift, move, heave and haul while keeping the elements at bay. Whether it’s innovative hemp blends or tough and warm synthetics, Patagonia Workwear is built for comfort, ease of motion and long-lasting durability.Shop
