The stretchiest polyester baselayer with a regular fit for everyday wear.

Learn More Close
These silky boxer briefs wash easily in a river and dry in a flash under the windshield wiper. Made from Capilene® Daily, they are our stretchiest baselayer for everyday wear, designed to provide stay-cool, nonbunching comfort. We call our new baselayer category “Daily,” but uncommon qualities like Fair Trade Certified™ sewing and 50-UPF sun protection make our new Capilene Daily styles something out of the ordinary. The fabric has the wicking-performance backbone of Capilene polyester, but in a stretchier, regular fit most suited to everyday pursuits, work or play. Polygiene® permanent odor control means less washing and longer wearing. The brushed elastic waistband feels soft and comfortable against the skin, the cover-stitched hem glides smoothly under shorts or pants, and a front panel provides support. With a fully functioning, self-fabric fly and an updated design that improves the fit.
  • Lightweight Capilene® polyester/spandex jersey is smooth and comfortable against the skin, featuring Polygiene® permanent odor control

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Capilene® Polyester Baselayer

Made from moisture-wicking polyester, Capilene® synthetic baselayers wick moisture away from your skin, breathe efficiently and dry fast to provide the foundation for any layering system for any pursuit. Designed for fast-forward, aerobic activities, they’re quick to wick and quick to dry. Capilene polyester is made from recycled polyester (30% recycled content or more) and is also machine washable.

We make four Capilene fabrics for different levels of exertion and temperatures. All Capilene fabrics have achieved bluesign® approval; have an updated and consistent fit in each fabric weight; and use Polygiene® technology to control odor in the garment. They are the best baselayer option for high-sweat activities and wet conditions.

Men's Cap Daily Boxer Briefs is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old Stretch Boxer Briefs Patagonia, please stop changing perfection and making inferior products like this. The old Stretch Boxer Briefs were excellent and you no longer sell them. These boxer briefs are too short and the new Patagonia billboard on the waistband is awful. My wife hates these and loves the old.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Boxer or Brief? Why did Patagonia change the design of the Capilene stretch boxer briefs? They were great! Great fit and quick dry time! These fit me okay in the waist in Large(I'm 5'8" 160 with 32" waist)but they were by far the shortest boxer brief I've ever worn. They rode up my leg into my groin and were annoying. Please bring back the Cap stretch boxer briefs-they were the best ever!(style #32477)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy Fit I'm not sure of some of these squawk box whiny reviews here. Mine fit nicely and no binding. Quality comfort with an easier to find fly! I wear these usually every day with NO major issues. Also, the fit well underneath my work uniform pants as a professional pilot. I'd recommend these, and they're a good value on sale while they last!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor fit - no support These boxer briefs model #32477 are inferior to my old boxer briefs model #32471 in 2 ways. First, when I hike, I want to have good support and these new briefs are definitely lacking. Second, I like them to be long enough to help prevent chaffing on the inside of my thighs and these are shorter than the old version. The old model would have been 5 stars. I would like to purchase more of the old model if they were available (which they aren't). I am returning these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wetsuit Rash-guard I wear these boxers as a rash-guard under my wetsuit while surfing in New England. The extra bit of material makes a small difference in warmth and definitely helps get through multi-day surf weeks in the rash department. I wish Patagonia would make a 1mm boxer brief for surfing as well. It is also nice to change out of a wetsuit without having to worry about dropping the towel in the parking lot :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Dig em They move around a little, but I don't mind the branding on the waist, and don't have any problems finding the fly under all my gear. I'm slowly getting rid of my old underwear and replacing them with these as soon as I can. Awesome for skiing, working, dirtbagging, Motorcycle riding, or watching TV and eating dinner! So Soft!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Please bring back the old version I'm a employee at a shop sells Patagonia products, and hear a lot of feedback about products week to week. Below are both my and customer's feedback about this item in comparison to the old Capilene Boxer Briefs: -The Patagonia logo around the waist band is childish, and screams Abercrombie. The simple solid color of the old version was preferred. -The rise of this product is too generous. The previous model sat lower on the hips and we better suited for wearing with hiking pants and shorts with a lower rise. -The inside hole in the front is cut too far in towards the center of the garment, often causing irrigation and the need to fidget/readjust. In addition, the piping used in this area is thicker than that used in the old version which further adds to the irrigation. If these design elements can be considered when updating the item in the future, it'd be appreciated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs larger than last year's verion I've owned a few pairs of these in the past couple years and really liked them, however I do want to note that these new versions run large by about 2-3 inches (waist) and the length runs a little longer as well (0.5-1 inch). Will need to go to the store to exchange them. Recommend trying them on before buying!
