Going light can work wonders, and a little security can stoke the fire when ambition outpaces the setting sun. For stuck-in-the-dark belays and minimalist bivouacs, our updated Nano Puff® Bivy Pullover is light, windproof, warm and has the pared-down features that help shift the odds in your favor. The water-repellent, compressible 60-g PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco—now with 55% postconsumer recycled content, and still the most thermally efficient synthetic insulation available—has a superb warmth-to-weight ratio and maintains 98% of its warmth, even when wet. The interlocking fibers of the lightweight, 100% recycled polyester Pertex Quantum® Eco shell and liner fabrics block wind, shed moisture and enhance the DWR (durable water repellent) performance. When the going gets cold(er), the kangaroo-style handwarmer pocket and a close-fitting, under-helmet hood with elastic binding bumps up the comfort level. The zippered drop-in torso pocket doubles as a stuffsack with a reinforced carabiner clip-in loop. With a deep venting center-front zipper, elastic bound cuffs and a drawcord-adjustable hem.

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

DWR
(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Men's Nano Puff® Bivy Pullover is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect piece. This jacket has kept me warm all over the Whites and Adirondacks. It has been my go to piece for climbing rock/ice (easily attaches to a harness), hiking the NY 46/NH 48, leading backpacking trips, and multi day backcountry ski trips into the Adirondack's High Peak wilderness. All while smashing through tight trees and rubbing against granite it has shown little wear and tear. The kangaroo pouch is perfect for winter camping to hold gloves, a thermos, maps, and food. The hoodie style hand pocket is the perfect stash for hand warmers and is used quite extensively during hunting season to keep frozen fingers at bay. This pull over held up to 100+ mph winds on the Bonds without letting any wind or spindrift in. Lastly, it will keep you pretty warm if you seem to get it wet as long as you keep on trucking. It’s my go to piece for cruising on a skin track or approach on windy cold days with just a long sleeve or a t-shirt underneath.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Patagonia should go back to old fit ! I have a full zip nano puff and pullover size xl in the old style that fit. I ordered the Bivy pullover in size xxl and it's smaller than my old xl . So you have lost a customer. How about offering 3x? HELP

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Freaking Jacket I loved y'all to start and I love y'all after possessing this jacket. I don't know where to start. It's water repellant. It's the most windproof thing I've worn. I mean I could probably stare at the peak of a mountain while a föhn wind hit me straight in the face and the rest of my body would be fine. It's almost completely recycled material which is such a game changer. Like you're telling me the liner is 100% recycled and the insulation is 55% recycled and this thing retains more than 90% of heat even when wet; if that doesn't turn your head like an owl then I don't know what will. The kangaroo pouch which doubles as a stuff sack and the hand warmers behind the pouch are brilliant. You all killed the multi functionality with this piece. Also, the hoody encompasses the head so well and retains heat much more efficiently than a loose hoody on normal jackets. I mean this thing rocks. If y'all need a rep for this jacket or anything else hit me up because you have earned my respect once again. Someone tell Yvon to give y'all a pay raise!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this This is the best jacket I have ever owned. It has a kangaroo pocket for all of your stuff and then has hand warmer pockets behind the kangaroo pocket. It's amazing. I live in this thing. The hood fits the head perfect so that you don't have an annoying hood in your face and you don't have to wear a beanie if it's above 45 F. It totally cuts the wind. The zipper comes down low enough so that if u get hot you can air out. I've washed it 3 times so far and you can throw it in the wash and air dry it and it dries in a few hours. It's good down to roughly 40 F without a long sleeve under. It's not meant to have a jacket underneath more of a top layer after a long sleeve shirt and then if you add a shell on top you are good down to 20 F maybe lower. I'm 5'4 and 115 lbs and wear a small. I bought a second one because I loved it so much. Oh, "carbon" is a dark green color. This jacket is amazing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from killer all purpose combo - fishing & snowboarding After acquiring this jacket when it came out, I have put it through the absolute ringer as far as use in the boat, around town, and on the mountain. The large (5'11", 190 lbs, 35" waist) is great fit that is roomy in the chest and shoulders however slims down clean as an underlayer as you go down towards the waist. The primaloft handwarmer pocket is all business, and for super cold days drop a handwarmer in the zip pocket for all day warmth. As with all nanos, it packs down like a swiss army knife and can easily be toted anywhere. Durability wise, this jacket is tough. Like all these puffys, you will see some threads running hear and there, and a few wear spots however the performance is never compromised. This replaced a nano hoody that has seven heavy seasons on it, and I couldnt be happier. The front zipper pocket is great, and the reach through handwarmer is priceless. ALL TIME HOODY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bomber, lightweight, almost do anything jacket. I'm super excited to have this jacket. I bought the Cinder Red and I love the color. It's has a really cool rustic copper tonal quality to it. Very unique. It's lightweight. The fabric may feel thin at first but I can tell you that it is very durable. I have been wearing the Pullover Nano Puff without a hood for almost a year now and it has no rips or tears. It's the same way with the stitching. It's thin, lightweight, and very durable. I fully intend on putting this jacket through the ringer. It will by my main source of warmth as I ride the Tour Divide next year. I'll be using it all winter as well while I train out in the mid west cold. Yes, I'll be sleeping in a bivy sack, so this should work great. I ordered a Medium and it fits really well. My older Pullover Nano Puff is a Large and the sizing is consistent with that product. With this Medium size I can fit my capilene t-shirt under my Tropic Comfort 2 hoody under this Nano Puff. Perfect layers for riding my bike. For the record I weigh 160 lbs and I'm 5'10".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lightweight hoody for warmer temps! The XL is true to size but there's barely enough room to wear a midweight fleece underneath. I'm 6' of average build with broad shoulders and XL fits relatively well. Bought this on sale in Underwater Blue [teal] and it looks nice. Autumn temps have begun to fall into the 50s and this jacket is NOT acceptable to keep you warm. It's lightweight and it just blocks out light breezes. You MUST wear a midweight/heavyweight fleece underneath and have to keep moving. Warmer clothes underneath and a shell on top is a Must if you want to keep warm! Had a tshirt and lighweight fleece underneath and I was COLD! I kept warm from walking a few blocks to and from my house. Now imagine when the really Cold temperature comes late in autumn or in winter?! The hood fits well without any drawcords but really needs a cinchcord to pull the hoodtop back and it needs a built-in hood visor. The sleeves really need some thumbholes at the end which some other jackets have which pulls the sleeves over the wrist further for more warmth protection. The elastic wrist cuffs just barely forms a nice fit to keep out the wind. The inside hand pockets are NOT lined, just with the fabric but should block out the wind but won't provide any addition warmth so gloves are needed for colder temps. The price of this hoody is similar to a lightweight down jacket (Expensive!) with the difference that down doesn't stay warm when it gets wet.
