We make the Tezzeron Jacket for places like the Cape Clear coastline, where thick morning mist gives way to a cooling afternoon offshore wind. Soft and lightweight, it blocks wind and moisture as the clouds roll in and stuffs into its own pocket when the sun prevails. Made of durable nylon fabric (38% recycled) with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish, it provides 50+ UPF sun protection and features a full-length, center-front zipper, cinchable hood and reflective detailing on the zipper pull and back shoulder yoke. Two side-entry pockets hold your belongings; the right pocket converts to a stuffsack. The left-chest pocket accommodates headphone cables. Hip length.

UPF Fabric

Lacking fur, feathers or scales, we humans have to think up clever ways to protect ourselves from the sun. Products with the UPF designation provide built-in sun protection that won’t wear off.

To achieve sun protection, Patagonia takes a varied approach, depending on the degree of protection desired and the fabric used. Elements of the strategy can range from yarn selection to fabric construction to the use of special finishes (especially for light colors which generally provide less protection).

Men's Tezzeron Jacket is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real good The Tezzeron has quickly become the jacket I reach for every single day. It's a nice, tough nylon, but light enough to pack away easily. I'm 5'10ish and 175lbs, and I got a large to layer with. It's a nice size--isn't too baggy or too long, but gives me enough room to layer as much as I want underneath. I was a little surprised that the fabric appears to have a polyurethane coating on the inside? I wasn't expecting that, but it hasn't been too clammy so far, and I've ended up being grateful for it on those rainy days. No need for a rain jacket so far. The El Nino Camo looks great, and I've gotten at least a few compliments on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Literally Perfect I'm ashamed to say how many different jackets I've purchased. Out of all of them there are two that I would call, dare I say, perfect. The nano puff, and this. This is excellent for 3 seasons, then layer it with the nano puff and you have a perfect winter coat. I purchased this jacket as a light rain jacket. The Torrentshell has always felt like I was wearing plastic wrap, especially when it got drenched. I understand it has its use in downpours, but for the light-to-average rain the Tezzeron can't be beat. I wear it on chilly mornings to work, as well as out to dinner as a casual, yet nice jacket. I now only have the two jackets mentioned and have no reason to change my setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite Patagonia jacket !!! Great to wear to work or out on the town. Warm, very breathable and rain resistant. Thinking of buying another in a different color. Love the chest pocket for my phone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect fit I finally found a Patagonia jacket that was great for mild winter spring and fall . I love the big herd that went completely over my head to. I love the big herd that went completely over my head to block the rain The fit was trying but not too tight in the arms . The material was very waterproof and flexible . Didn't have the crinkly sound with most rain jacket . However I didn't like the ink black color . It looked kind of bluish and washed out to me . Had to going to please come out with a flat black jacket, the dark black next time . I will buy three of them !! Hank

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect grab-n-go jacket! Purchase a month ago for a light layer for the weather here in Laguna Beach area. This design provides enough protection on a cool misty marine air morning while riding my MTB and also looks great with my casual attire around town. Ahead up to PDX to see how it works in a wetter climate, so stay tune. I recommend it as a buy!! Wish they he'd it in a grey, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Everyday Jacket This rainy season I bought the Rainshadow jacket and love it. I hike in it almost everyday. Its light, breathable, perfectly rainproof in a downpour. The only problem has been I find myself wearing it almost everyday, and sometimes you don't always want to wear something that feels plastic/nylon. So I bought the Tezzeron as an alternative, and its perfect. Couldn't be better. The fabric has a wonderful "non-plastic" feel to while still cutting out the wind. I use it as an everyday jacket over a sweater. I usually by L in Patagonia coasts, but got the XL in this one.
