If your notion of winter versatility runs from lakeshore ice crags to blizzard-blasted summits, our rugged new Triolet Pants have you covered. A waterproof/breathable 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish will keep you protected on exposed belay ledges, and they open up with full-separating side zips so you can vent on the go with 2-way waterproof, PU-coated zippers or put on your pants above tree line without removing your skis or boots. An articulated pattern and gusseted crotch allow ease of movement and comfort under a harness, and the waist separates with a zippered fly. Interior elasticized hook-and-loop tabs customize the fit; the welted vertical handwarmer pockets have DWR-treated zippers; and the double cuff has a durable scuff guard, a separating internal gaiter (with hook-and-loop plus snap closure), gripper elastic and tie-down loops. With belt loops and a jacket attachment loop at rear.

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

The construction of 3-Layer GORE-TEX® Products is unique. A 3-layer GORE-TEX® membrane is sandwiched between a soft outer material and a knit polyester backing material that increases durability. These garments keep you comfortable and protected from the elements without adding extra bulk or weight.

The GORE-TEX® membrane has 9 billion pores per square inch, with each pore 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet. These tiny holes are too small for water and wind to pass through from the outside. But these same pores are large enough for moisture vapor to pass through, so your body's perspiration is able to escape and you won’t feel clammy or uncomfortable inside your jacket.

Men's Triolet Pants is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value ski pants Good ventilation with long zips, shed snow, we'll put together. If I had more money to spend on gear I'd buy some bibs for snowproofness while I'm rolling in powder. Being a cheapskate, I'll probably get some clip-on suspenders at Value Village.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber Pants I got these recently. They fit well and are very durable. These pants are good for anything from frontside laps to hike-to skiing. I would buy these again given the opportunity.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Odd Fit Bought these as I was looking for another four season pant. The construction is outstanding and I loved the feel but had to return them as the fit was not right for me. I started with an XL, I am 6'1 and about 220, and they were huge! The length was way too long and there was a lot of room in the waist. The adjustment was nice but I felt like I was wearing clown pants (a lot of material). I then switched to a L and the length was better and waste was good with still a bit of room. The issues was in the tops of the thighs and hips. They were now too tight in that area and adding a mid-weight baselayer was okay but anything beyond that would have been uncomfortable. Range of motion was not too limited and felt dropping this kind of cash on pant, I better find what really fits me best. I wanted them to work as it was a great overall pant. As anothe reviewer stated, if they fit your frame, they will be a great pant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wanted to love these! Really nice pants...if they fit! I am 6'-2" tall and weigh 188 pounds. I really wanted to wear these pants, as I am a huge fan of Patagonia as a company. However, the size medium is too tight and the size large is far too baggy. The length seems to be about the same for both sizes and was perfect for my 33" inseam. So...despite my love for Patagonia and the obvious quality of the pants, I can't use them. If they happen to fit your frame, you won't be disappointed. They are of the highest quality and are feature-full. I ended-up buying a pair of Arcteryx Alpha AR pants, which are a better fit and also very well made. They, unfortunately, are missing the internal gators, the Triolet pants had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable pants with great waterproof integrity I was trying to look back on my order history to when I bought these but I'm guessing with was 4-5 years ago. Having a full side zip pant has always been my preference and the zipper quality, snaps and Velcro have all held up without compromise. I've washed them a couple of times with Nik Wax products and even if it isn't repelling completely I'm not getting wet on the inside. I thought they had gone away as I didn't see them in the stores for the last couple of years. I'll buy another pair. The powder cuff elastic held up really well and is reliable over ski boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great if the fit is correct Had these for 3 years. Bougth them in M and had to change to a L because I could not squat in them. They were a bit big (last model had a belt style bucle) and a bit long- not a problem wearing ski boots. I like to carry my transceiver in my pocket- it is a bit tight. If the fit is right, the pants are good.
