Pants built for the 5AM workout—be it yoga, barre or Pilates—and also the long haul nonstop to Sydney. Their versatility comes from a lightweight technical fabric with 4-way stretch that’s combined with knitted, stretchy fabric at the waistband and cuffs. The body fabric moves with you (you can hike the Bondi to Bronte no problem), plus it sheds light moisture and provides 50+ UPF sun protection. The knitted, elasticized waistband and cuffs allow for mobility and comfort—the cuffs can be worn down or pushed up to calf for a cool modern look. There’s also two front drop-in pockets with tonal double-needle stitching detail; two rear patch pockets.
  • Lightweight polyester/spandex woven with a soft knit waistband and cuffs, 50+ UPF sun protection and a DWR finish
  • Pull on jogger styling stays in place with hidden elastic built into the waistband
  • Two front drop-in hand pockets with tonal double-needle stitch detail; two rear patch pockets
  • Elasticized cuffs at the ankle can be worn down or pushed up to calf

bluesign® Approved Fabric

Patagonia has worked with bluesign technologies since 2000 to evaluate and reduce resource consumption in our materials supply chain, and to assist us with managing the chemicals, dyes and finishes used in the process. bluesign technologies, based in Switzerland, works at each step in the textile supply chain to approve chemicals, processes, materials, and products that are safe for the environment, safe for workers, and safe for the end customers.

In 2007, Patagonia became the first brand to officially join the network of bluesign® system partners.

Any fabric you see that’s bluesign® approved offers the highest level of consumer safety by employing methods and materials in their manufacture that conserve resources and minimize impacts on people and the environment.

Water Resistant

(durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fabric & fit! I've had these pants to about a month now, I wear them to the gym almost everytime! Great alternative to the normal tight fitting workout pant. I also wear these while running errands. I have received several compliments! I have a tall, curvy figure and have trouble with most of Patagonia's bottoms, but not these! They do go up to my belly button, but I am comfortable with that. Can't wait to get the grey color!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THESE PANTS! After months of coveting and researching, I bit the bullet on these pants and am thrilled I did. The other reviewers were so helpful in my sizing decision that I feel I must contribute as well. I am 5'4", ~130lbs with thighs. For reference, I often wear a size 27 and recently bought the Patagonia Island hemp shorts in 4 and they're tight. I would've normally ordered these in a small. Thanks to the other reviewers, I bought these in an XS and love the fit. They're casual and comfy without being sloppy. I plan on buying another pair. I would recommend sizing down one size to have a "slim boyfriend" fit--loose but not baggy. I think they run about a size large. If you want a baggier, harem-style pant then I'd stick with your usual size. I love the lightweight, stretchy soft-shell material. They're comfortable and I think will be very versatile. I wanted something that I could hike in but not look like a dweeb when I'm off trail--something that bridges technical and town wear. I think this pant does it. I like flat waist band.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO comfy! These pants are extremely lightweight and comfortable, while still being sturdy enough so I'm not afraid they'll snag or rip easily. I have pretty much been living in them since getting them. They are perfect for around the house, yoga, hiking, camping, as pajamas, or running into town to do errands. I would hesitate to climb real rock in them because I think that would test their sturdiness, and the thin fabric won't offer you much protection against scrapes and cuts. They have a casual and relaxed fit, with slightly dropped pockets in back and crotch...not quite harem-pants, but not trousers either. The "yoga pant" style waistband is really comfy but I probably would have preferred a regular waistband with belt-loops and fly/button, so that I could choose to tuck my shirt in OR wear it out. That would have made these pants even more versatile and slightly less casual, but nevertheless they are a great alternative to actual yoga pants, super comfy, and very on-trend in their fit and style. I am 5'1" and 110lbs with muscular legs, and the XS fits me nicely. If you are any more petite than me, the waistband will be a little loose on you and you might find the style too baggy-looking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too big! I bought two pairs of these for climbing in. I'm 5'2", 110 lbs and I bought a size xs. The waist it way too big, but the rest of the pant is awesome. I'm keeping them just because they are really comfy to climb in, but am hoping they make an xxs or fix the waist on this size in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pant, runs large I purchased these in a medium, my normal Patagonia size. They are big, but not too big where I cannot wear them. I think if I order them in black (I purchased the grey) I will go down a size. The material is very lightweight and has a lot of stretch. The waistband and leg cuffs are super soft. They wash really well and dry quickly. I love that they are pull on style. I honestly think these will be fantastic in the spring and fall. So, I would advise trying these on in a store if possible before buying. If you cannot try them on, I would size down if you are on the smaller side (ex: if you wear an 8, go with a small, if you wear a 10 or 12, go with a medium) They are super comfortable and would be great for many activities, not just yoga. Don't let the sizing discourage you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to love these but way too big I have been on the hunt for these pants since the fall and wanted a pant I could slip on to/from my workouts and warm-up in without being restricted. I wanted pants that had a non-bulky flat and wide waistband, no draw string, non-bulky pockets, fitted ankles and lightweight but warm material. These fit the bill 100%. After waiting two months for these to come off back-order, I am returning them because they don't even closely resemble an XS size (major disappointment!). I am 5'2 110#, 26" waist, 36" hip. The XS was huge - it fits more like a Medium and I felt like I was wearing MC Hammer Pants. These were so big that I kept checking the tag to make sure that they actually said XS. The waist is 27.5" unstretched, the hip is 39" and the rise 10.25". Those measurements wouldn't be too awful, but the rear-rise (butt seam?) is 16" from waist to crotch, which makes the crotch sag half-way down the thigh. I don't like my pants to sit at my waist, I like them to sit at the hip, so the larger waist and larger hip is ok (still could be a little smaller)... but the crotch measurement makes this completely unwearable. Ideally, the waist, hip and rise would all be reduced for an XS and the rear-rise would be quite a few inches less. The fabric is perfect - light weight and stretchy without being too bulky. The flat waist, absence of a draw string and flat-front stitched-in pockets make these perfect... in theory. Even the short inseam (27") looked cute when the crotch was pulled up to a reasonable height (I have a 30" inseam). Please Patagonia, review your XS sizing (and Small size, too based on other reviews)! I would buy them all over again if I knew the pattern was retooled and graded properly for an XS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice all-around pant. Runs large. These arrived in the mail today, unfortunately I'm shipping them back. I ordered my usual size medium and they are way too big in the waist and the crotch area was hanging low. They practically fell off me and there is no drawstring to adjust them. I'm 5'9", 138 lbs, and a size 8 in other Patagonia products. I can't review their performance but first impressions out of the package they seem like they would be a good pant for warmer weather/climates. The material is super thin and doesn't look very warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Pants! I bought these pants last week to wear on a camping/hiking trip. I am 5'10" and 155 lbs. The medium fit me perfectly! I'm really excited to try them out on the trails and I'm sure I'll be wearing them at home too, because they're so comfortable. Well worth the money! If the black wasn't back-ordered, I would be ordering a second pair!
