The Long-Sleeved Island Hopper II is our classic tropical fishing shirt, with a relaxed fit and functional design for female anglers. Its lightweight, breathable and moisture-wicking 60% organic cotton/40% recycled polyester blend provides excellent ventilation for afternoons on the chase; it also dries quickly, resists wrinkling and washes easily with a quick dunk in the sink. Built for performance and casual comfort, the shirt features a single chest pocket with an invisible zip at the side, and a rear zippered fly-box and security pocket. Recycled Polyester

In 1993, we adopted fleece into our product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. We were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.

Today, we’re able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. We now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including our own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes.

Using recycled polyester lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Women's Long-Sleeved Island Hopper Ii Shirt is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the fit! I love the feel and fit of this shirt. I usually have trouble with the sleeve length and torso being to short; this is perfect as it comes down on my hands better, and comes down nicely on the hips. Slightly fitted too, so it looks very nice. I bought a medium; I'm 5'6.5" and 142#'s.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Grey Shirt I like the shirt and the large pocket in the back, but it runs a little big...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A necessity This shirt is perfect for your short trip fishing to a long day on the river. I agree it is not for the tropics with extreme temps and humidity, but perfect for Utah to Canada to Maine. Plus, it fits perfect, a little room to be active and breath, and great for the more bustier shape most sports clothing ignores. There's none of that dumb impractical tight fitting style that's too short to tuck in and covered in pink/girly colors in an effort to mask the lack of features that are only retained for men's clothing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for warm weather fishing I bought the Nymph: Bandana Blue shirt for flats fishing and found the fabric way too heavy for that use. On a low-wind day I was utterly drenched with sweat; it did not breathe and I could not cool off. It's a nice cut and fabric but the shirt seems better suited for trout or salmon fishing (intermountain West, PNW).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good cut, go back to previous fabric blend I have worn the Island Hopper shirt, since it was originally called the Tropical Flats shirt! Have guided in these for over 23 years, and destination fished from Brazil to Alaska, wearing this wonderful shirt. Two+ seasons ago, the fabric blend changed, and although the cut is still good, and it is still a good looking shirt, the technical functionality has been impaired. Stains are impossible to get out, the fabric wrinkles terribly, and the most disappointing part, it does not breath as well--hence, sweat marks and stains are seen through the shirt, and it does not dry as quickly. Great design, look and fit, but please consider a better fabric blend, or just go back to how it had been done before. Thanks for a great product, but please re-consider the fabric content.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy shirt on really hot days The heavy cotton content of this roomy boyfriend fit shirt, make it super comfy on the hottest of days. With its more boxy fit, it doesn't jump off of the hanger, but once it's on, it's pretty delicious, and the extra room makes it so comfortable in the heat! I also like wearing it over a tank to keep shoulders and arms out of the sun during long fishing days.
