Fair Trade Certified™

We pay a premium for every Fair Trade Certified item that carries our label. That extra money goes directly to the workers at the factory, and they decide how to spend it. The program also promotes worker health and safety and social and environmental compliance, and encourages dialog between workers and management. Fair Trade is one of the first tools we’re using at Patagonia to raise workers’ wages, improve their standard of living and move them closer to earning a living wage.

Organic Cotton

In 1996, with an increased awareness of the dangers of pesticide use and synthetic fertilizers in growing conventional cotton, we began the exclusive use of organically grown cotton in all of our cotton products.

The quality of organic cotton is equal to or better than conventionally grown cotton, yet organically grown methods support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, improve the quality of soil and often use less water. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more. But it’s worth it.

To ensure we are buying cotton that is organic as defined by the USDA’s National Organic Program, we require numerous certificates issued by an accredited third-party certification body for every step of the supply chain, from farm to factories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for working out outside in Northern MI. I bought these for running and walking my 3 miles each morning. They are warm enough and then breath very well when my core gets warm. Not thin but never to warm. I highly recommend! Thank you Patagonia once again for wonderful quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort, comfort comfort! I bought these last month during a sale. I have been looking for an all around crop for yoga, spinning etc....these are soft, sturdy and just the right rise. I love the organic component of the Patagonia style. I want two more pair!,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable Crops I purchased these on sale and am liking them. The only negative is that they began pilling on the inside of the thighs after the second use. This was a little surprising as I have purchased other serenity products and have not experienced the same issue. I am wider in the bottom, but at 5'4" and 150 lbs. Large fit me well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Black is not Black I just got 2 pairs of these and I love them so far, they are very soft and comfortable and stay put. My one complaint is that the black pair is most definitely not black. It's really a light charcoal/gray and actually looks incredibly similar to the navy pair i bought (which has a nice heather to it.) I love the fit of them but would really like a genuinely black pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants - Dark Gray, not Black These are SO comfortable. Provides a nice control top, but not too tight on the tummy or waist. NOTE: The black is NOT black, it's most definitely a dark gray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These leggings are a dream! I can't believe it's taken me this long to buy a pair of Patagonia leggings. I LOVE these and am going to have to buy a full length pair for colder weather. The weight on these is great (on the thicker/sturdier side), and the navy color is really beautiful. These will be a yoga staple for me, and I plan to wear them under shorter skirts and dresses as the weather starts turning cool. I bought a size S, and they fit perfectly. I'm 5'5", 120#; 25" waist, 36" hips, with "athletic" legs. No gaping at the waist, but no "muffin top" either. Love that these stay in place and don't require constant pulling up / adjusting. Thanks, Patagonia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Capris Ever I can't say enough how much I love these capris. I got a pair in the fall and I wear them every week. They are my favorite leggings for Pilates but they are also my favorite leggings for relaxing and going out. They look great with a pair of boots and a long sweater. I tried to buy more a couple of months ago but they weren't carrying capris in the midst of winter. I just ordered two more pair. Love how the waistband fits. Also love the length.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Moisture Wicking I LOVE these pants and have been working out in them consistently for the past 6 months. The color info is a little misleading - the "black" is actually grey in person. It's not even close to black! Which I don't mind, I bought these online after trying them on in person. The only thing I don't like is that these are not made of a moisture wicking material - the cotton content is high, so they're really not great for activities in which you may sweat a lot. I made that mistake early on and you WILL be able to see the visible sweat stains which can be awkward. They're better for lighter activities or for running errands.
