Who says hard-core fishing pants have to look like hard-core fishing pants? Not us. In fact, our Away From Home Pants feature a stylish, feminine fit that looks and feels great stalking the flats or biking into town for café con leche. Blending form and function, these pants are made from two fabrics: a stretch-woven 96% nylon/4% spandex blend on the seat for enhanced durability; and a light, quick-drying nylon taslan everywhere else for fast dry times and cool-wearing comfort. They have the technical features you need for serious fishing—50+ UPF sun protection, a nylon utility keeper, two front and back pockets, a double side pocket on the left leg, articulated knees and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish—but thanks to classic jean-front styling, they work equally well on the trail, around town or anywhere else that takes you away from your home waters.
  • Durable, quick-drying nylon taslan with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish and 50+ UPF sun protection; stretch-woven seat is supercomfortable and water-resistant
  • Jean-front styling with nylon utility keeper; two back pockets
  • Double side utility pocket

Water Resistant

DWR (durable water repellent) fabric finish repels light rain and snow and decreases dry times. When DWR is used in conjunction with a waterproof/breathable barrier, the DWR finish keeps the outer fabric from becoming saturated so that the breathable barrier can do its job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super comfy but awkward fit.. I bought these to use as hiking / field pants (I am a researcher and spend a lot of time in prairies in the summer). I am typically a size 2-4 in most hiking pants, but typically I have to get a larger size in Patagonia pants because of my larger thighs. I bought a size 4 and they are tight in the legs but large (by about a fist size) in the waist. They also are a tad long and touch the ground unless I am wearing boots. They are very lightweight, quick-drying, flexible, and breathable. The shape is also flattering and it has deep back pockets. The side pocket is too small to fit an iphone that is in a case, which is unfortunate. I kept them because they are comfortable and I got them on sale...but beware that the sizing is super odd... I am 5'3'' and 125 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wear them everyday for work I own a couple pairs of these pants. I work outside and they are awesome and have had them for over a year now. I do wish the pockets had zippers, or at least one pocket with a zipper. I'm 5'3 115 lbs, and purchased size 0. They're a little loose on me, but I really like the fit. The length is perfect as well. I wear these for work/fishing/camping/hiking. Great all around pant!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight great for travel or fishing Having the read the reviews I have the following comments. I am 5'7 about 125 pounds. I bought a size 4. I'm built very boyish- no hips. So for me these fit great in this size and they are long enough. The side pocket at first glance, you think an IPHONE won't fit but it does. My phone is an IPHONE7 and it fits with a narrow edge guard case on it. If you are tall and thin these pants will work for you. They do run somewhat wide in the waist and sit lower. Didn't mind using a belt.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from way too tight! went up a size and they are still so tight they have to be returned. not sure I want to go up two sizes, afraid the waist gap would be so huge it would not work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the Weight of These... Purchased the Away From Home pants for a fly fishing trip to Belize - El Pescador Lodge. They were light, comfy & fast drying. Dislike = too long -- you need to offer short sizes as most women are shorter than the average pant length. I understand they can be rolled BUT when you have sandflies in the area, they need to stay down :/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Patagonia pants. I've owned several different Patagonia pant styles and have tried on others. I like this style best for three reasons. 1. They roll up. I need a 30 inch inseam or shorter. If ] can't get that, i need pants that can be shortened by rolling up the leg. I can do that with these. 2. They are very lightweight. I like to travel with just a backpack, so I am always looking for the lightest, most versatile clothes I can find. 3. They fit me very well. I'm thin (about 107, 5' 6") and have more of a boyish figure. Mostly straight from the waist through the hips, and very thin legs. These pants have the most flattering fit for my figure. They look slim from the waist all the way down, without being too tight anywhere. They aren't stretch pants, which i think is good for me, because they hang well rather than stretch in the wrong places. Some reviewers say the pants run small and I guess they do. Right now the size 4 fits me best. I have tried on the 2, but I like the slightly roomier fit that the 4 gives me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit! Love that the length can be adjusted to below the knee with the inside strap and snap. Wrinkle free!
