I love the fit, it is super flattering and the snaps are so nice compared to buttons. I am 5'6" and 140lbs, the small was perfect. This is perfect for hiking in, working around the house in, or casual wear.
My new go to errand shirt. It fits well over my arms, gives my shoulders enough room to reach, and looks good open or fully buttoned.
Its light so i wear an under shirt whether its being worn unbuttoned or buttoned.
I really like this shirt! The material is high quality - dense but not stiff. I was worried it might be see through, but my worries were misplaced! It lays really nicely and the cut is flattering. I love the rustic metal snaps! In my opinion it runs a bit small. I am 511 with an average/athletic build and long arms. The medium fit me great. (I thin... I really love this shirt. The snaps are an added plus, but they work a little hard. I found the sleeves a bit long but wear them with the cuff rolled back. Works great for me! I ordered this long sleeve shirt to give me some sun protection while biking and hiking. The style is very cute. So generally good, but not a shirt I'd look to take camping or on another adventure that is very far from a washing machine......

Scratchy and oversized
When I first pulled this out of the bag (online order) I put it aside because it felt so coarse I didnt even want to put it on. Uncomfortable, coarse material
I swear by Patagonia products, but the material of this shirt was uncomfortable and scratchy on my skin. Hey Nina, thanks for your review on the Long-Sleeved Western Snap Shirt. We're sorry to hear that the material was uncomfortable for you. Sometimes hemp can cause a reaction, so that could potentially be the cause. Love this!
This shirt is such a great all around shirt ! It Is light weight enough to throw over a tank for riding or hiking hiking and the snaps are a super cute western touch ! Love that it is a tad fitted !

Great Western Work Shirt for Trail Rides and Packing
A lightweight but durable western shirt that has served me well. I work with horses, lead trail rides, and pack mules and this is my favorite shirt to wear. Read Moreh me during work and I've never felt constricted. It does run big-- I'm normally a size small (5'7" and 125 lbs) and I have plenty of room in this shirt. The sleeves are long but I like that. I may try an XS when I order my next shirt for nicer occasions, but I like a roomy shirt with long arms when I'm working hard!
I love this shirt, I bought all the colors. The western detail is very cool. I bought an XS and kinda wish there was an XXS. I am 115lbs and it fits just a little looser than I would prefer.
I sent back the Small as too wide and sleeves too long : The XS is great and am so glad I exchanged it.The Fabric is so soft and feels terrific . And I love snaps instead of buttons - easy and handsome . A wonderful shirt !
Bought the turquoise, blue plaid and pelican color. The Pelican is sort of a blah color and although it has with very little wear (2-3 times), it has pilled while the others have not. I do love the others and the snaps!
So if you're looking for a sexy western cut, this is not your shirt. It's a little boxy through the middle, but the snaps are cool and the fit is generous - good for all around activities. It was pretty scratchy before I washed it a couple times. Got softer with use.
I originally ordered this shirt in a size medium because I have wide shoulders, but tried a small on later and immediately ordered two more smalls in different colors. Read Mored I frequently wear it out as a casual shirt and get tons of compliments. More frequently, I wear it on the job site (construction) and am amazed at how breathable and sturdy it is. I'd do anything in this shirt, and feel good doing it because of how comfortable, functional and attractive it is. This is hands-down the best shirt I've owned. The cuffs could be considered a bit too wide for some, but they're easy to roll up or fold over once. And it's a snap shirt rather than a button shirt, which is brilliant! It's so easy to put on and take off. They have 50% off two of the colors right now - I recommend you buy both!!!
I love these snap button kind of shirts for hiking and just casual look w/jeans. They also match a pair of killer cowboy boots I have! The cotton is on the heavier side and feels like this will last me a lifetime!
This shirt is a mixed bag for me -- I bought two and will definitely get good wear out of them, but they aren't the go-to buttonfront shirts I hoped they would be. On the plus side, as a broad-shouldered broad, I appreciate the shirt's generous cut. I also like the Western styling, though there are too many snaps at the cuff -- why 3? So ... And while I like the sturdiness of the fabric, I do wish it were 100% hemp, or maybe a hemp/Tencel or hemp/cotton blend -- I feel like the poly makes the shirt less breathable, too warm, and more prone to pilling. As a result, it's not great for activities like biking, where I expect to work up a sweat. If you come out with a natural fiber version of this shirt without quite so many snaps, it would be pretty close to perfect.
This L/S shirt looks really cute on but know that it is a boxier style and not fitted. That said, I thought a S might be better for layering, but it looked dumpy and huge so I sent it back for the XS which fits much better and still pretty roomy. (I'm 5'3", slim, 34B). I love the snaps too!

The fit is very borderline for me, but hey... those snaps, amiright? Maybe I should have tried a size large, but the body girth would be too big.

Classy and durable
Great stitching and snaps, very well made. Very stylish and it seems like it's going to be able to take a beating. The fit is very comfortable, sturdy but not restricting.
Great shirt, but not long enough to actually work in
I love the fabric and the styling of this western shirt. I usually where Wrangler and other western brands, so I love that Patagonia is making a more ethical choice for me to wear -except that this shirt is not long enough to stay tucked in when I am actually working in it! I had to add 2 inches of fabric to the bottom so I could wear it and have it stay tucked in. The other problem is that the cuffs get a bit too big proportionally as the sizes go up. I am 5'4", 120 lbs and wear a small. I tried on the medium to see if it would be longer (it wasn't) and the cuffs were so wide they fell over my hands. My husband has two of these shirts as well, and they don't stay tucked in on him either (he is 6'2" and 195 lbs). He wears an XL and the cuffs are ridiculously wide. I had to add extra snaps so he could wear the shirt. He ends up wearing it untucked though, which is not a good look in our world. All that being said though, we love the western yokes and the snap fronts and the fabric. Please fix this shirt so that we cowgirls and cowboys can actually wear something you make for work!
I don't think I own a single Patagonia shirt (for women). Every time, it's the same thing. The torso is boxy, but the shoulders are hella tight and the sleeves are like 2" too short. Good thermoregulation for cowgirls

Wm’s Western Snap Shirt
I love these shirts... so much so I had to have two!
I was excited to see this shirt online. Unfortunately the fit is terrible. The shoulders have ample room but the sides flare out excessively like a tent.
