Women’s Shorts for the Long Haul
Long-lasting outdoor apparel is a worthy investment. Durability has been part of our design ethos since we started making clothes in the 1970s—and our women’s athletic shorts are no exception. Take, for example, our Baggies™. Designed for multifunctionality, they go from the water to the trails to the backyard, and they’re built with tough nylon fabric that lasts generations. In the rest of our shorts line, we use durable hemp, Regenerative Organic Certified™ cotton, and abrasion-resistant blends of recycled nylon and polyester. Keeping durable clothes in play—instead of buying new—conserves water, energy and raw materials.
Workout Shorts for Women Who Hit the Trail
We love good all-purpose shorts like Baggies™, but we also appreciate top-notch sport-specific design. Our shorts collection covers the full range: women’s running shorts, women’s hiking shorts, women’s cycling shorts, and even casual offerings like women’s chino shorts. In most cases, we have options for each sport category, specifically tweaked to match the needs of long days, fast days, multisport days, and everything in between.
Dialed Fit
Fit is one of the top things on designers’ minds when creating our women’s athletic shorts. Recently, we redesigned our women’s running shorts with a wider leg opening and updated saddle shape, for a better fit on muscular thighs and glutes. Many of our shorts—from women’s cycling shorts and running shorts to casual shorts for women—have a curved waistband that doesn’t sag. If, on the other hand, high waisted athletic shorts are your jam, try our Maipo Shorts (women’s yoga shorts) and Garden Island Shorts (a great choice for women’s black shorts).
Features That Matter
When it comes to women’s active shorts, it’s the little things that add up to all-day comfort and performance. Take, for example, our Stretch Hydropeak women’s surf shorts, which have a cord in the back pocket that allows you to adjust the waistband with one hand. Our Dirt Roamer women’s bike shorts have stretchy welded seams that minimize chafing, and pass-through thigh pockets that integrate with our Dirt Roamer liner shorts.
