Patagonia developed the 4-layer fabric construction for our waders to increase breathability and abrasion resistance, move moisture away from the body, and decrease the weight.

Our exterior fabrics are densely woven 100% polyester microfibers for durability and puncture resistance. On one side we apply our H2No® waterproof coating for waterproof/breathable performance. On the other side we apply a Hydrophilic laminate that pulls moisture away from the body so it can be passed out through the exterior shell.

To protect the hydrophilic laminate we use a soft polyester tricot lining that increases abrasion resistance yet maintains a soft, supple drape. Finally, we apply a DWR (durable water repellent) treatment as the first line of defense in keeping these waders waterproof.

Women's Spring River Waders - Petite is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ladies Waders! (I don't look like a man at work) I love my waders and I wear them for work every week. I went back and forth for a long time deciding between the petite and regular, based on the inseam issue the other reviewer had. I finally ended up with a petite small after speaking with the patagonia online help because they have the actual measurements of the garments. I have a 29.5" inseam and my hips do *just* fit in these but they are comfortable and I don't look like a man! Super! So far they seem more durable than past patagonia wader designs and I kneel, hike and carry equipment in these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 30-inch inseam is misleading I love most of the features of these waders. But the 30-inch inseam stated in the sizing chart is misleading. I'm 5 ft. 2.5 in. to be exact with a 29-inch inseam. I'm on the slim/athletic side with pretty standard proportions. I purchased the petite waders based on the 30-inch inseam noted on the sizing chart. But in order for me to have full movement in these waders to fly fish, the waistband needs to ride low around my hips. I live in low-waisted jeans. But for my waders, I expect the waistband to fit close to my natural waist so I can cinch the belt in case I take a spill. Unfortunately, I didn't have the option of exchanging them for the regular since I needed these for a trip and I had already waited 3 extra weeks due to the backorder date constantly being pushed out. If you have a 28-inch inseam or shorter, these should work for you. 29-inch get the regular length. The 30-inch inseam doesn't take into account the extra movement you need to fly fish: to scramble up banks, bend down to release a fish, etc. Patagonia should really add a note stating this. The other measurements in the chart are spot on. If it wasn't for the misleading inseam, I'd give them 4 stars.
